  • The Chinese did a better version.

  • Dude! They can't even play the unisono in the end! But those kids had perfect timing with cannons in the finale. Kudos :)

  • Gorzej!!!!!

  • Ale rzępają... Jak orkiestra straży pożarnej.

  • a bunch of fucking pussys

  • sorry, this is just plain AWFUL and a disgrace to Tchaikovsky s memory! It's HIDEOUS!!!!!!!

  • 0:50 Fail! And its played much too slow in the beginning...

  • Is this HMCS Quadra?

  • Basic summary: The band sucked, the cannons were awesome.

  • only in what ever fckin country you come from would they spell america "amerika"!

  • First of all before you go insulting the music.

    A. Its Outside

    and

    B. It was recorded on a 100dollar camera

  • only in amerika. horrible music when played by them. no discipline.

and only in ther country will they use fuckin .22s for canon.

  • @aaronzack14

    No discipline? Lolwat.

    Wrong army bub.

  • @sciences8 Discipline? America's doctrine is to be so messy no enemy can predict them.

  • @bf2lover42

Talking about soldiers, not politicians. They're not disciplined, I agree on that.

  • @sciences8 Well those are not disciplined anywhere in the "Western" world.

Still, I was quoting a Russian general whose name I don't remember, so it applies to soldiers.

  • @bf2lover42

Because Russian soldiers are disciplined... right. Well, at least you made me laugh.

  • @sciences8 Well, we all know what happened to the Russians in Finland, right?

Anyway, I prefer the Americans in the Air Force. They are much more polite and disciplined than the ones in the US Army.

  • @bf2lover42

I agree with that. The US Army is less disciplined than the Air Force or Navy; it's the Marines, though, that really stand as the pinnacle of the U.S forces.

  • sweet mother of god they were horrible :(

  • Holy crap the percussion section was dragging the whole time.

  • jajaj the video its funny, maybe they also could put a small flag like the cartoons at the end of the guns

  • those cannons were pretty disappointing... break out the 88s!!!

  • Umm...you people who are naysaying this video do realize that this wasn't professionally recorded, correct? If it was you would have had the bass from the cannons and the band/orchestra would have sounded better...versus being recorded off a handheld phone or camera.

Even if the camera was in HD, the recording wouldn't have been correct simply due to the dynamic limitations of the camera's microphone.

  • RUBBISH!!

  • ever considered to write 'overature' as overture? or ouverture?

  • Lol. The breachmate on B gun was one of the GT staff cadets this year XD

  • Oh so that's what "Terrible" looks like.

  • They should've used FlaK 88mm guns.

  • @Telamon8 Too fast. They needed something like a Culvern or Demi-Culvern.

  • que desastre, que porqueria por d-s, esta version es una verdadera porqueria.

  • oh HMCS Acadia how i miss you

  • i miss sound of full shells .50cal primers just dont it justice. summer of 04 was the last time full shells were used im pretty sure.

  • women....

    yeah let em try

  • It sounds slow.

  • #FAIL

  • FAIL!

  • they sound harsh! Nice Idea though!

  • stupid americans trying to be russian !

  • @chechen44ss sure did look better than the russians

  • @chechen44ss

They're Canadian you stupid fuck lol.

  • Comment removed

  • @annoyingapple8 yes i did

  • @annoyingapple8 america is the most stupid country in the wolrd they know where amsterdam is but they dont know what netherland is

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @annoyingapple8 lol what war ?

  • Comment removed

  • @annoyingapple8 Oh please. Russians almost won WW2 and then USA joined in.

  • @sc7prim yeah, the russians sure kicked ass in the pacific.

  • @sc7prim

The Russians were totally humiliated by the Germans in WW1 and WW2. Its only because of the fact that Russia has a lot of land, and had financial and material support from the Americans, that they could put a stop to the advancing German army in Operation Barbarossa. What was the kill ratio again? 20 Russians for every German? If you ask me, they war cost the Russians more than it did the Germans, and the Germans lost the war. Go figure.

  • @chechen44ss Don't generalize.

  • I like the chime of the spent rounds hitting the concrete after each shot.

It's got a nice ring to it.

  • oh god o.O they killed it :(((((((((

  • I must say a great version for such a young crowd....good job guppies

  • This would have been much more effective with 105 howitzers or real muzzle loading cannon. Those shots were pretty tepid.

  • fucked up lame ruined

  • the sound of the music is awful

  • i´m sorry but the sound is awful, i hope its a bad tape

  • not enough bass and too much percussion...most likely a camera audio quality issue but yeah, a great piece nonetheless

  • more gunpowder

  • Cool,is there any ammo in it???

  • @kamikazeboy123 breach loaders?

  • since when does quadra have an orange nfg!?!?!?

  • first gun misfires..

  • needs bigger gun for more bass

  • Sorry for the gun crew , they will have to clean those dummy rounds out of the the guns lol .

  • Bravo Zulu!

Composure on misfires, whether mechanical or mental, is tops.

  • Bravo Zulu!

Composure on misfires, whether mechanical or mental, is tops.

  • lol i love how the first gun didnt go off. fail

  • @DJChAoSisGoD its called a missfire bitch and it could turn deadly

  • @thatrunescapeman clearly ur mom is a deadly missfire bitch

  • @DJChAoSisGoD my mom is going in for an surgery on Tuesday ass hole

  • @thatrunescapeman well maybe u should be a better son and stop playin world of warcraft in her basement and get a job so u can pay her rent so she can have a good surgery... clearly she will die now

  • @DJChAoSisGoD i live in canada bitch, free health care moron. canada ain't welfare like the states, we can afford that.

  • @DJChAoSisGoD and btw, its in my name "that 'runescape' man" not "wow fatass"

  • @thatrunescapeman oh im sorry i have no idea what this runescape thing is... because i get vagina, i dont worry about some gay computer game... do u fuck elfs and shit because ur clearly a loser from canada? or are u some 40 year old dude that weighs 300lbs and lives in his mom who is about to die's basement... speaking of which? how did ur mom get the aids and i know canadians are dumb but do u realize there is no surgery to fix aids?

  • @DJChAoSisGoD Clearly you are a total idiot and retard because you called his 'mom' a 'misfire'. I swear to god, really?

  • @Stormwind187 clearly u swear at god cuz ur jealous that ur mom isnt a misfire

  • @DJChAoSisGoD Oh man, that's the most amazing comeback ever. I'm like, in shock right now.

  • @thatrunescapeman please proceed to make a video of you cutting urself while listening to the cure and eating a kfc chicken bowl, aye ;)

  • @thatrunescapeman Is their truly a reason to be arguing with someone who is an idiot? Not to mention your responses and falling for his trolling and insults but your response certainly didn't help the matter. Then you guys turned into arguing about World of Warcraft and Runescape on a video about the 1812 Overture.

  • very nicely done

    cheers from Russia

  • um......theyre cadets, not the NY Philharmonic...give em a break...

  • I gess the Orchestra couldent make it huh, gun crews were awsome though

  • i vote that this is the only way music shall be played from now on, all those in favor...

  • ほんとに大砲使ってますね

    はじめてみました

  • man, sea cadets have all the gun. Now i a slightly sad i joined air cadets.

  • Yea, but air cadets have real guns.

  • @harrifer3000 little ones

  • @mamabear3

Rifles, yes. That actually fire bullets.

Anyway, I'm too old for cadets of any kind, I'm trying up for the real thing.

  • Hrmm, good camera local, but I noticed you could have gotten a better accoustic location, alittle too close to percussion and too far from brass/woodwind.

Nice canon work, compliments to the Navy

  • overAture?

  • these are only 50.cal primers. after 2004 we wern't allowed to use full shells anymore. when they tore down the old guns stores they found a whole bunch of 12 pounders that we fired through that summer to use them up. the final volleys for the end of the iron gunz challange was epic firing the big shells off as fast as they could

  • fail canon

  • that is not real cannons where is the recoyl?

  • they are not firing cannonballs or shells or whatever it will just be gun powder or whatever being ignited or a black shell.

  • Not as epic as the orchestra but ok.

  • The sound was great, but the booms should have more bass.

  • @willchen298 The recording device doesn't record bass very well at all. I'm sure in real life there was plenty of bass.

  • @willchen298 my god why would you think that those are british 2 pounder field guns with their shells equivalent to a .50 cal in gun powder because if they were any more powerful they would break. the guns are from 1899.

  • I believe these young fellas are Naval Cadets...so dont rag on them

  • Sure that's not part of the RN's field gun competition?

  • Yep, this is from the Cadet Summer Training Centre HMCS Quadra in Comox, BC (A Royal Canadian Sea cadet training centre).

  • Atta Boy KNAPP! DandC baby but AT is till where its at -Heine!

  • good job kids

  • what is this a bunch of 5th graders?

  • They are a part of the Navy Cadets

  • sounds like a rifle with eco

  • Wow, this is brilliant...I don't think one can judge the acoustics based on this clip alone because this is recorded on a video camera...might have been a cameraphone...

But wow, amazing stuff with the cannons

  • The acoustic sucks... it would be much better in a closed room.

  • Those aren't cannons, those are 12 pound Naval Field GUNS. Get it right.

  • What's the difference?

  • Army cannons are measured by the diameter of the barrel (ex. 105mm shell), Navy Guns are measured by weight (ex. 5lb shell)

  • Ah right...thanks for the info

  • Get your facts right! A GUN IS A CANNON TECHNICALLY!

  • @james1234279 Wrong. These are guns because they are breech loaders. Not muzzle loaders like cannons. I've spent my last six summers as a Sea Cadet at HMCS Quadra. Trust me I would know.

  • Comment removed

  • @SeaCadet263

and what rank did u achieve?

and plus guns have no rifling in the barrel same as a cannon...

  • @james1234279 Well these Naval Field Guns do have rifling inside the barrel. You can ask any Quadra gunners who have commented on this video and I'm sure they will agree with me. Ask anybody who has run the Gunnery Dept at Quadra (I am friends with alot of them). So before you go commenting on random videos, be sure to get your facts straight to avoid sounding like you don't know what your talking about.

  • @SeaCadet263

and what/where on earth is Quadra???

  • @james1234279 It's a Sea Cadet Summer Training Centre in Comox, British Columbia.

  • Really good peice. Did you see how fast they reload the cannons and stuff!?!?!? That's friggin' AWESOME!!!

  • Well, it was O.K. but to do this well some real brass needs to be used. However we need to relize that at the time and place this was done. So in general I will say it was well done although, Timing needs to be improved with the cannon fire.

  • CANNONS FTW!!

  • CANNON! five stars for effort.

  • im sorry. this is a fail. it doesnt cut it. the cannons are like pea shooter sounds and the band sounds terrible, plus they're like 15 bps off...

  • "the cannons are like pea shooter sounds "

It may sound that way, but listen to how all the ambient sounds are cut out when the cannons go off. The camera's microphone has a limit to volume, and you can clearly hear it peaking out. They were certainly not pea shooter sounds.

  • compared to the actual cannon fire that should be going on, yes they grade as pea shooters. maybe not in fire power, but in over all sound.

  • @lazyshmuk69 Fail? After using a stupid Internet meme, you claim like you know something about the music? Stupid boy.

  • i do know something about music as a matter of fact. just because one ploys a meme or any other internet reference does not mean they are not smeert...i've been in band for about a decade and am taking music comp...and i say again....FAIL

  • @SlightyDisturbedNBK Where do you get off telling people that they know nothing about music?

  • @SlightyDisturbedNBK Actually, looking at what he said was a fail... he's right. Or do you think this is the way it was meant to sound? It really does need much more bass. You need artillery with some mean calibre to accompany this piece. And the "orchestra" does in actuality sound less good than one might even fear... you only need to listen into the first ten seconds... that's just horrible, mate.

  • drums were 2 loud but this was nice

  • i love the smell of gun powder in the after noon lol be careful with that sword there slice his butt off!

  • nice to hear and see again. we have play this many times in tattoo finales with the amsterdam police band. gives good feelings thanks for dealing with us.

  • nice! i think that tchaikovsky never heard it with the cannons

  • They are not even called cannons!! They are called guns because they are rifled on the inside of the barrel and they are loaded from the rear, where as cannons are loaded from the front.

  • The cannons kinda drowned out the music, kinda sad as the music itself is wonderful.

  • The trick is to have them at a distance.

  • do americans actually think they won this law?

  • I bet it was fun to do and i wish they did that sort of stuff in Britain (but bloody health and safety, "a small child might run in front of the cannon and the people firing might not see" lol!) but it would probably have been better with decent sized cannon. 12 to 18 pounders would give it that deep noise that the 1812 overture is so well known for.

  • Pretty god....I mean the cannons were in time :D

  • cocker extractor FTW!

  • What year was this???

  • GFLSFCM

  • GFLSCFM

  • It sounded way better when you were actually there, and they are Canadian, How do I know?? LOL cause I was there. HMCS Quadra is located in Comox, B.C, Canada.

  • when some band came to my town they used 105mm cannons. what a sight!!!!

  • Yah, RCSCC, canadians... sound terrible. But they gave it a good go.

  • Hahaha is hilarious! It first sounded like a group of cats being dragged down a highway, and the cannons sounded like someone lighting a match. This wasn't good at all sorry, 1/5

  • u're right xD the cannons are so ... ( no wordsfor that )

  • CANNON. THE PLURAL OF CANNON IS CANNON.

HEED MY WORDS YOU ILLITERATE FUCKS, FOR I AM THE GREAT GRAMMAR NAZI, AND I'M DAMN PROUD OF IT

    lol.

  • wth are u talking about in fact

  • Nothing really. Just make sure you remember, plural of a single cannon is the same, just cannon.

    One cannon. Ten cannon. Etc.

  • oh yea well cannons and cannon are the plural of the word cannon to take that and get your facts straight! Boo Ya

  • Could you get your grammar straight? I couldn't understand what you were trying to say.

  • i was saying that "cannon" and "cannons" both are the plural of the word cannon

  • Hmm... We need a reliable source on this one.

  • this sounds not that good.

  • pathetic, no pomp at all!

  • What is annoying is that so many bloody navies use the same basic uniform for their naval cadets and such. The best I can gather is that these are Royal Dominion personnel, but whether they are Canadian, Australian, or New Zealanders, I cannot say. Hell, they could be bloody British. Anyone know for sure?

  • Excuse me, I worked For HMCS Quadra, As gunnery Staff and i would be very Proud of these fine cadets all under 19 very well done and gunz GFLFCM!

  • cool

  • The cannon looks like the naval-gun in late 19th to 1910's.

They had better use more cannon I think...

  • They ARE the guns they used in the early 1900s. And they're guns, NOT cannons.

  • Those guns were used in the Bohr war. And there is a HUGE diference between guns and cannons.

  • what's the diff? All I see here is no recoil

  • A cannon is loaded from the front and fires cannon balls. A field gun is loaded from the back and fires rounds that resemble bullets. Plus the field gun acctualy has a trigger were as a cannon does not. A cannon must be ignited.

  • You won't see any recoil unless there is a projectile, for each action there is an equal and opposite reaction, I think it's Newtons law or something.

  • I think it's his 3rd law?

  • the reason there is no recoil is because the shell is only a .50 cal back in the day b4 all of the safety regulations they fired 12 pound shells also we were allowed to line the inside with steel wool to get fite shooting out of the barrel it was pretty sweet back in the day

  • Whoooooooooooo HMCS Quadra XD XD XD XD XD XD XD

  • I thought its like booooooooooooooooooooommm!!!!!!!!!!!!! really loud and the band... ummmmmmmm......

  • ahahha i was there...poor band..it was all of them playing so when you throw in the junior band with the senior band..well you get some good parts...and some horribly terrible bad parts...

  • Very poor preformance. It was nowhere near Tchaikovsky's composition.

  • Yeah... they got introuble for that and were not allowed to play it again in the following year cuz it sucked so bad.
