nyra is right. You can make him use the wind attack every single time if you stand where the red head always spawns during the rock attack, which is the bottom right corner. The game will not allow the head to appear where you are standing, and the AI likes the opportunity to spike you because your so close to the spikes, but as soon as the heads start to form above you, you can dash to safety and do what you normally do during the wind attack.

The method of standing where the red head spawns has always worked for me before, but I've never really done it during a minimalist run without the armor. It works when I use the Fourth Armor, but not vanilla X. I just tested this several times. Try it yourself?
Has anyone ever dodged Sigma's attack when his scythe hits the ground?

I swear to god, you can do Sigma's first form faster than that. When he uses his scythe attack:
1: Stand slightly left of the center of the arena
2: When he teleports in, dash all the way to the right side of the screen and fire. He'll flash, but won't burn.
3: The first frame of the scythe animation can't hurt you if you're pressed against the wall he starts from.
Am I remembering this wrong?
