This is happening right now to my next-door neighbour's window. It's hilariously adorable! They stuck decals on the windows but they're not working at all. I now get to see a cardinal every day rather than once every few months.
This lasted a few days and then it just stopped suddenly. I think decals on the windows does very little, as they just see their own reflection and feel threatened that another cardinal is in the area and she is trying to protect what is probably her nest nearby.
