  • Parkour?

  • I WISH THEY GOT JACKIE CHAN...he climbs buildings .... buildings...

  • His grandpa told him to never look at the moon..

  • Just go and win Ninja Warrior already.

  • thats just parkour. and i think @hacked231 is a little upset

  • For all the people that says that this is just parkour... STFU! Can't you see that the scientist in the video are measuring the martial artist's agility? The best way to measure it is by making the martial artist move, and since he practice the monkey-style kungfu, they made a scenario fit for that. You think kungfu is just a piece of crap because they didnt show you their stances, punches, and kicks? Parkour is just movement and movement alone. Kungfu is more than that. Morons.

  • Dude, that is like parkour.

  • ooo that little monkey was so cute :3

  • Isn't that just pakour???

  • monkey see monkey do? :D

  • this isnt very impressive, free runners do this all the time

  • @RideMyYoshi247 *cought* traceurs. Those who train PARKOUR train FreeRunning too, not the other way around. Ask a "free-runner" whats he called.

  • DANNY ILABACA!!! MY HERO!!! why didn't they tag him in this!?

  • The thing is , no matter what he practice, the important is the develop of the senses, Parkour, monkey estile, Gimnastics, develop the same senses, im a phisical ed teacher and also and also i plractice Gimnastics, the huge diference is that parkour allows you to apply the gimnast moves on a real enviroment which is cool really, but the senses are the same, propioception ( intern knowledge of the body in space) u can obtain that from any sport , but more acurate in those that i mamed b4

  • i finally notice that fight science is wrong because in parkour they did it completely wrong and in this there is 5 things not 3 there are strength, balance, coordination, momentum and timing and btw its called parkour and danny is a traceur

  • OOOOH he does parkour ona the best too

  • I love how Fight Science tells the rest of the world what martial artists already know: our techniques work. :-)

  • dude this guy practices parkour, not kung fu. i dont think they're the same even if the do look alike. it's like you're saying "this is beef," while you're actually showing mutton. lol.

  • @1slshr though parkour is not kung fu, it has been called a martial art before, like kung fu is

  • stop questioning art, just accept it for what it is. Practice and determination

  • He's Daniel ilabaca!:D

  • i think eileen has the real moves

  • Hi am i new to martial arts and I am looking to take this as self defense( wah lum) . how effective is this art for self defense/ how long doesthis take like would 1 to 2 years teach me the art enough for denfense of will it take ten?. The sifu names is Tom Hasse. Thanks.

  • @muyMantisman Your better off learning actual self defense while it isnt as pretty its more effective. What i mean by actual self defense is eye gouging or low blows plus controlling fear it seems cheap but if your life is on the line and if someone is attacking you and starts choking you out from behind you these martial arts arent going to protect you. Your attacker isnt going to fight fair so why should you risk your life and fight fairly

  • @muyMantisman Not very. Most of Kung Fu is really showy, but in an actual fight it has limited uses. Kung Fu can be effective given many years of training, but a swift kick to the groin, spleen, liver, etc is just as valid. If you want to learn a stand up technique learn Muay Thai. It utilizes 8 different points of striking so it can actually help out from a distance with kicks or up close with elbows.

But expect it to take years to learn. There is no fast track in any martial arts.

  • You cant measure muscle forces in watts...

  • @Coldsnowrt They measured his potency, not his force

    derp

  • TARZAN!

  • He is a parkourist many people can do that. By the way any parkour sesh anywhere let me know. California LA

  • Parkour

  • They should have used Monkey King instead of a capuchin...

  • Fight science fight like an animal part 4 is missing....... harsh...... fight science "parkour episode" is cooler..... David Belle's B13 is the best.

  • People on here are idiots. It's not about what he's doing, whether he's flipping or swinging, it's HOW he's moving that's so similar to a monkey.

  • Dude! I'm flippin out! That's awesome!

  • wait, do monkeys do backflips?

  • @gb389 yeah

  • and suddenly, Spider-man doesn't seem so impossible (the acrobatics part anyway)

  • sounds like these idiots have never heard of David Belle

  • daniel ilabaca. the worlds best parkourist.

  • @Muffinmanjake wow its traceur umbass and david belle is the best get ur facts straight

  • i love how they explain this as if danny's anything more than human. Everyone commenting on this video can do this. He's not Superman

  • why didnt u guys actually use a Monkey practitioner to demonstrate how to move like a monkey?....I respect Daniel Ilbaca Immensely as a freerunner, but to b quite frank he has no clue how the monkey acts and moves. Monkey isnt all flips and flashy moves...

  • monkeys dont flip like that

  • WTF? Daniel Illabaca in a wushu uniform?

  • i'll be more impressed when he starts swinging around with his feet....

  • Daniel iliabaca is my fav free runner

  • woaaaa...he's my new hero...teach me how to do that! D:

  • @munky3691 parkour and freerunning

  • @thaicares parkour? freerunning? explain please

  • @munky3691 search it through youtube or go to my account and go through my parkour playlist you will get the idea

  • @thaicares oh ok thanks :D

  • @munky3691 parkour is like freerunning without flips or tricks its a flow and thats it

  • proof that the stunts in assassins creed can be done

  • Watched it already, but now, IO can watch it whenever i want!

  • Just hang out with black ppl

  • @ZoeHannahan not funny, ur pathetic for that comment.

  • o wow hes on the discovery channel well i guess hes not underground any more

  • Danny Ilabaca you sexy sexy man.

  • danny seems like the kid that liked the monkey bars alot

  • Danny seems to be the type who monkeys around frequently.

Get it? Get it? Ge- eeeuughhh....

  • @Skaarjguy

    1 year later...

  • @Javjean O_o

  • @Skaarjguy

    1 year later...

  • Danny is smokin'

    ;]

  • wow...i wish i could move like a monkey, that'll be sweet

  • This guy won MTV's ultimate parkour challenge on tv and he posts vids of himself on youtube you should check him out

  • you see jumping never comes from the hips, its from the knees.

  • when you jump you use your whole body, although if you want to get your jump farther and higher you get on the balls of your feat and push your body up and good to use weights on it too

  • @aguguwin Incorrect. You use your hips and glute hamstring chain.

  • need a Pro Skateboarder on here

  • Great vid, keep up the good work Daniel, and 8 feet static jump is actually pretty normal among the Traceur community

  • this guy is amazing 1:20

  • he pretty damn good.

  • Comment removed

  • thats danny illabaca practicing the french art of le parkour. he's a tracuer/free runner. there is no stress on his body because when you do them right then its just as normal as walking.

  • Monkeys cannot brachiate and would not be able to do many of these things. They do not have the flexibility in their shoulders. For someone who has "been watching monkeys for a long time" he should know that.

  • Looks like Assassin's Creed to me...

  • Because assassin's creed and a lot of other games, use parkour, Daniel ilabaca is a Traceur

  • isn't this guy also famous in the Parkour world? He looks really familiar.

  • Yeah, he won mtv's Parkour contest aswell.

  • yeah, that's where I saw him. nice call.

  • Ya he's a Traceur, these are pretty basic parkour/freerunning movements, but its pretty impressive to these guys because they've probably never seen anything like this

  • Tarzan anyone?

  • Humans are monkeys.

  • :O holy monkey

  • who cares if its misleading it takes like 10 sec to load if its not what u want dont watch it geez

  • these new nat geo videos make me feel oh so physically inadequate. lol.

  • Seems more like Parkour to me. I know loads of guys who can do that and even more impressive stunts you guys should check it out.

  • monkey man!

  • Impreassive!! Looks like fun.

  • Can I get an encore of Danny wearing a leotard instead?

  • How is the title misleading?! How to move like a monkey.. This guy is moving like a monkey. Wtf did you expect a tutorial? lol.

  • pwned....haha

  • I want to learn how to move like a Monkey dammit! lol

  • Cool.

  • The title of this video is misleading.

  • @Renuzitus i agree
