These animations were loaded completely into the RAM (Memory) of the Amiga, as Drives/Controllers back then were

a) to slow,

b) unlike PCs, the Amiga did not have a speedy way to play animations directly from drives (although there were some hacks).

c) This Animation Format was already 1993 outdated. Although this is made 1993, it runs on Amigas from 1986 (given they have the RAM).
