Very nice! Your videos are great! I have a question, though. Did you used to have one up of Fred and Eleanor dancing from "Begin the Beguine"?? There was a different song with it, and it looked great as well! What happened to that one :(
Don't mess with perfection! With all the work those two did to create this number, likely weeks, it is a shame to screw it up with different music. This is a tap dance number.
@WBGVA As I have told other people, you can ALWAYS watch the original performance elsewhere on YouTube, across the net, or via DVD or other video services. If you read my comments above, I have said — without being able to be much clearer on the subject — this was not meant to replace the original. It was just a little lark. If you don't like it fine, but nothing and no one is stopping you from enjoying the original number, as I do, from a variety of sources.
Fred look always makes it look easy and looks like he's having an awesome time!!! I love the video even if it's not the original music ... this music is wick awesome with this video... the beat and movement with the dancing is matched perfectly!!! AWESOME!
I like the way you get a different perspective with this mix. The original music makes certain moves stand out and this music highlights others. A great new way to experience an old pleasure. Thank you.
the beat matches perfect with this video. so much talent out their putting these videos on you-tube. it's great to see that we are still no. 1 in creative ideas and always will be. create my brothers and sisters, and then create some more, never stopping never quitting. That's why we remain great !!!!
Ginger actually did not tap. They hid much of what she could not do. Both Fred And Ginger said as much in their autobiographies. Ginger won an Oscar for acting and was the only one available in their first movie which they were not featured. Having said that Ginger had amazing charima and sex appeal and was a perfect fit for Fred. He said it got to be even with her deficiencies she improved and as I looked around she was the one for me.
Ginger was a smart cookie and talented woman who really wanted to act but had to work hard dancing before she got to just act. And work she did because she was no dancing star - Fred Astaire and Hermes Pan tutored and rehearsed her. When Ginger tapped, Hermes dubbed the taps. Fortunately, Ginger was very graceful and somehow a perfect compliment physically to Fred. Her work with Fred is a tribute to her grit and determination.

Astaire is CLASS...Yet to really see him dance with anyone who isn't stiff looking when they dance. Betty Hutton was good in a film with him.

I think that after being in even one movie with Fred, Ginger would have greatly improved her dancing skills.

What impresses me is that the music instantly time-zooms this amazing performance to be totally updated to today. Bravo!

Was Ginger Rogers only a tap dancer??? Or did she do other dances?

It's not as if there are no more copies of this dance routine. I would understand your disdain if that were the case.

The classic is still there.. This new sound is a compliment to them. More and more people will see them dancing, like me. jmt just my thoughts.
