Auto replay is on, repeating the first 25 seconds over and over. I love the sound. There's a crazy chromatic sounding riff around 0:10 - 0:13 that I really like too. Such good harmonies.
This is awesome, but I must have notes on the chords you're playing - trying to figure out the voicings by eyes and ears take ages. I rather use that time to practice improvising over it. Thanks
@closetome The Mark Levine book(s) 'The Jazz Theory book' is one of the best books for learning about harmony but there are many others. For a different perspective try Wayne Krantz's 'Improvisers OS'. Ted Greene's chord books are great for guitar, with Classical and Jazz approaches in easy to understand applications etc - got ot his website, great insights on there and free pdfs of some of his thoughts on voicings. Good luck!
I remember GE" we bring good things to life". In the past I used a GE cassette recorder and plaedy back songs trying to intrepret chords I heard lol. Its a bit easier with video these days but hola your quick on rhythm comping but it does sounds great. It'll take a while to just get just a fraction of those great voicings! I'll be clicking for sure :)
@TrueMason I'm studying at the moment, at University here in Auckland New Zealand, where I also teach guitar and take ensembles. That has been fantastic in terms of stretching my mind etc. But to build chops it's mainly practice, shedding, lots of repetition. Then play with lots of people to learn about being a musician, you know listening, responding, supporting. I started playing guitar 22 years ago and then jazz about 20 years ago.
Just watching this guys tells me how much stronger my hands will need to be to play at that level, but then again you're an electric guitar with relatively light strings, compared to my acoustic; sometimes I hate using my acoustic to learn Jazz, but then I think back to Eddie Lang and Django.
Ibanez artstar (the cheaper version of the Artist which ran production from late 90's to early 2000's i think. Going through my studio which runs logic with a great plug in for guitar called 'amplitube'. Took me a while to get happy with my sound, forever tweaking etc...
String choice is important - i use D'addario stainless steel XLS 590's as opposed to flat wound, ribbon wound or half round etc. Gauge is .012 .016. 024 .032. .042 .052. Action is SUPER low. I have string saver saddles at the bridge, standard pick ups, a tusk nut put in, had the pick ups 'poled' by a pro for an even sound from string to string. Getting it refretted at the mo so it will be singing soon, we have a guy here in Auckland who does great setups. Hope that helps.
could you please refrain from placing such awesome rucksacks in the background of your videos. very distracting.

jackapoo1715 1 year ago
@jackapoo1715 at what points specifically?
dragondix 1 year ago
could be just a slight little bit slower...for thick dudes like me you know...but thanx.
cyberflea07 1 year ago
@cyberflea07 that's the most common complaint and I do realise I could slow it down in parts. Thanks for your comments.

Informative video Thanks!!
as far as Tweaking Goes,.did this include a Truss Rod adjustment and string Choice?.,.How important is that? and can you tell the difference,
