Thank you Slasheri for posting this great song of Waylon's. I love everything Waylon ever sang, he was the best of the best. That baritone voice and the range that he had couldn't be equalled, when Waylon sang a song that was it, it had been sung. I have yet to hear anyone sing one of his songs and do it justice. If he was a "hick" I sure wish there were a lot more of them around. He has given true country fans a lot of pleasure listening to his music.
to @douchebagosaurus, well Waylon is no longer with us, now are you happy. things happen in life that we can not explain, but you never have the right to wish soomebody dead.
@douchebagosaurus .....My understanding is that it was The Big Bopper that took his seat....I may be wrong but whoever it was Waylon always wished it had been him. He had the right to wish for that, you don't.
hey twins8956 shut your mouth ya fuckin asshole!!! if you wer only half as talented and succesfull as him youd be happy ya wanker!!! if ya dont like it dont look at it!!!!!
Loved a cowboy, hard as it was, never knew a better man, a man more willing to stand in any circumstance, for what he believed, which was God, country, family, period. Threaten any of those and trouble was coming. Loved him, miss him.
what baffles me on who were the 10 who could dislike old billy tunes im sorry being a southern boy doesnt matter what race and creed you are just reading the words waylon sang about is justice to music enough
to bad momma couldnt stop me from bein a cowboy and drivin old pickups.....kinda hard to stop a kid from bein a cowboy when daddy was a bull rider....
I think Jeff Bridges was the perfect actor to play the part in "Crazy Heart". He immediately made me think of Waylon and I don't think any one else could have played the part so true to form---an aging country star down on his luck. Not that
Waylon ever was he was always entertaining and will never be replaced in my humble opinion.

I wish I would have made him be a doc or lawyer my son Marc died in my arms in Iraq. I did my first tour in Iraq and with the second tour he wanted to go and I should have done more. My first born died in my arms in Iraq. He was my cowboy. I miss him so much.
@harleysami all you can do is believe that this is what he wanted. that he died doing what he wanted to do. and i thank you for defending the USA in Iraq. take care

Oh, I live your video! Waylon looks so young! This came out around the time my son was born. I always thought of this when holding him...I don't know why, we didn't live in the west, but later his grandpa said it reminded him of my son also. Great sound and Great video. Thank you for posting this!

@femail63011 I don't know Jamey Johnson is pretty damn close! I think Hank Williams III is getting up there too. But I would agree that they are a dying breed :(
@hellholesfinest I disagree!!! My entire family cowboys! I myself can rope, ride, give shots, castrate, brand, dehorn, notch ears, fix fence, and on and on!! I am a girl, so I guess as for me, Cowgirls exist, you just have to look few and far between for them, beacuse lazy is much easier than cowboy!
