Struming is like someone already said - D D U D. it is in one measure. But important is that, HOW he counts four beats. He say loud only when you have to strum. Imagine like someone is all the time counting beats 1,2,3,4 1,2,3,4.... and so on. Here you have to strum on 1 D , on 2 D, on and U, on 3 D. (and is between beats, like a halfbeat)

TIP - when measure comes around, strum U on and before 1. it is because you doesnt begin with halfbeat before measure.

P.S. D - down, U - up

all those numbers is what fret your on.. (frets are the little boxes on your guitar neck :L) so 0 is on no fret just play the string open.. and 2 is the second fret .. 3 the third fret .. :)

ON the 6th string, he's talking about which finger. Thumb goes in the middle of the open space behind the 1st frat. pointer finger being 1, bird finger being 2, and ring finger being 3 on the left hand. he's saying 0 fingers first, then 2nd finer, then 3rd finger, then 2nd again, 0 fingers, 3rd finger, then 0 fingers all on the 6th string.
