Hey maugustyniak. You couldn't have made a more retarded comment. For starters the bore size of the gun doesn't really mean shit. An Apache has a 30mm chaingun on it and doesn't nearly pack the punch of the BFV's 25mm. The various different rounds of the 25mm all produce over 9,000lbs of recoil per shot. With a cyclic rate of 200 +/- 25 rpm it pretty much shreds whatever it wants. Not to mention that we utilize tungsten and DU for the penetrator. Now, if you had actually had any experience with

Im part of a armor battalion and the infantry FISTERS also have Bradley's. 19D and 13F couldn't be more different, 13F is alittle more chilled and falls into a unique position in the Army, it's cool and a total bitch at the same time you could be sorting through mountains of paper work one day and the next practicing your call for fire. 19D is alittle more hooah but with that you'll be doing alot...

@phadil inside there is a loading mechanism the luncher goes back into it's place and gets reloaded i guess it would be so stupid to go outside to reload lol.
@phadil The missiles are inside the vehicle in the troop compartment. After firing the two from the launcher we slewed the turret slightly to the left and a dismount infantryman in the troop compartment could open the overhead hatch and reload the launcher.
@phadil Dismounts have to be in MOPP gear, someone has to get out to reload it. We always had a dismount do it from the hatch directly over the troop compartment at the rear of the IFV.

Power sliding a Bradley is one of the most awesome feelings in the world. I got my ass chewed every time for doing it, it was most definitely worth it every time. It was an infantryman's way of buzzing the tower.

@BasementBeginnings - my brother is an infantryman and he showed me a document type article showing how many rounds and how much gas certain types of vehicles used during the gulf war. the bradley had a very high kill ratio against enemy armor, mostly the t-55 but it did destroy more bmp's than the abrams did. however the bradley did suffer some losses but really from tank rounds. the bradley were used just as much as the abrams which few people know, i didn't know but the document showed it

Yeah. TOW missiles can be fired only when standing still because of the wire that they use for navigating the rocket. Cannon has only around 200 rpm compared to 600 rpm in BMP2. And don't forget that port weapons are now hidden behind additional slabs of armor at their sides.

but whit automatic it can get a motor fail in exampel the hydraulic or things like that, and you almost never close the back door when you are standing in a uphil.
so if youre bradley get hits by a ied, and the motor is fucked, then you are fucked, but that is not so much problem with a manual....

There has been rumors, but I highly doubt it. We have the M1A2 Abrams, and I think they think that it is good enough for main combat engagements. I know they constantly upgrade the weapons fire control system, and the engine for better fuel consumption. I think the only armor upgrade would be the outer deflective cage to defeat a warheads explosive charge before impact (ie makes it go off before armor impact) it might get explosive plate armor, but i doubt that also..

the bradley was not replaced by anything nor was it replacing anything the bradley was made to do what the abrams cant and go where the stryker would be destroyed

@iwasmuted4 with 2x TOW2 Missiles, a 7.62 coaxial machine gun, a 25millimeter cannon that can switch between AP and HE rounds and port weapons that allow the dismounts to add supporting fire, this is an anti-everything and it's mother vehicle.

Yeah. TOW missiles can be fired only when standing still because of the wire that they use for navigating the rocket. Cannon has only around 200 rpm compared to 600 rpm in BMP2. And don't forget that port weapons are now hidden behind additional slabs of armor at their sides.

What is a Bradley compilation and what is all this discussion about. I just lost my active duty son July 7, 2010 and he taught these so I am not sure what this is all about other than this is captured from Spike TV. This makes it way too much like a video game.

Better designed than any Cadillac. American Cars are rubbish. American military hardware is the best. Look at the suspension that BFV shows at 2:55 simply brilliant.

@eveef Agreed. CVs pwn. Except the back door isn't motorized (like Bradleys) so it's damn heavy and difficult to close if the CV is facing uphill (been there, done that). Greets from Finland!

but whit automatic it can get a motor fail in exampel the hydraulic or things like that, and you almost never close the back door when you are standing in a uphil.
so if youre bradley get hits by a ied, and the motor is fucked, then you are fucked, but that is not so much problem with a manual....

@TuAFFalcon...... m3 crew hatch has perascopes in them... m2 they are along the back of crew opening.. inside crew area there are only two crew seats and rest is racking for missles on the right side on m3

There has been rumors, but I highly doubt it. We have the M1A2 Abrams, and I think they think that it is good enough for main combat engagements. I know they constantly upgrade the weapons fire control system, and the engine for better fuel consumption. I think the only armor upgrade would be the outer deflective cage to defeat a warheads explosive charge before impact (ie makes it go off before armor impact) it might get explosive plate armor, but i doubt that also..

I like how the BMP has the fuel tank as the rear door for the troops, very efficient for us here in America. One well placed round and you can cook a squad in no time. The Bradley kicks ass!... USA USA USA!

The government should revamp the Bradley with all new weapon technology and better armor.
I was an 11 M at Fort Lewis and we were testing the LAV some wheeled vehicle from canada. From my personal experience it was a piece of shit. I would rather break track in the Bradley than than go to the field in that thing again.
