i didn't look this up after playing/watching anything. my mom listened to alot of old music when i was young. i heard music like this alot and enjoyed it. i'm turning 18 saturday and i enjoy 80's music
The first time I heard this song, it was on GTA: Vice City. I gotta admit, it's really catchy, and I like the music video, especially the part where the bird flies onto the pew the guy is sitting on. I can't tell what kind of bird it is though 'cause the video was filmed in black and white.
I haven't heard this song in years, yet it has been stuck in my head inexplicably for the past couple days. I'm 15, and didn't grow up to this song or anything of the sort.
Go figure. Whatever the case, it's going to be on repeat for the next week.
@Jso003 We treat him like an old friend and keep him busy out of town, okay? We been talking about expanding down South, right? Vice City is twenty-four carat gold these days. The Colombians, the Mexicans, hell, even those Cuban refugees are cutting themselves a piece of some nice action.
@Jso003 Times are changing. The families can't keep their backs turned while our enemies reap the rewards. So, we send someone down to do the dirty work for us... and cut ourselves a nice, quiet slice. Okay? Who's our contact down there?
@Jso003 We don't need him to. We just set him loose in Vice City. We give him a little cash to get started, OK? Give it a few months. Then we go down. Pay him a little visit, right? See how he's doing.
@Kidcouger2 Hey hey guys, it's er, Ken Rosenburg here hey! hehehe, great eh? Well, er, i'm gonna drive you guys to the deal ok? I've talked to the suppliers and they are very keen to start, erh-heh, business relationship. So if all goes well we should be doing pretty nicely for ourselves, which is, Y'know, good! OK, so, they're brothers ok? One operates the business and the other operates the flying...
@bobbytmathew Its a Christian metaphor. Mister Mister is a Christian band, so "take these broken wings, and learn to fly again" is a metaphor for putting your life into God's hands, basically.
how cld it be trough the mistery tht came too pass...makes me thnk of my african frnd who was gang rapped almst aborted she wz adoptd by a rich french now shz studyn in france
Did yall know that this is actually a CHRIST inspired song? Cool Savior/cool music. And, I admit, as a one time Madonna-wannabe (im 39), I just KNEW those were her legs dancing in that video. If I could go back in time, I would. I would just have this mind of CHRIST instead of the mess I had back then. For real, JESUS loves you. Be ready, HE is coming back, and no one knows when. Not preaching, and you can do what you want. Just be warned or ready. Ciao.
I remember listening to this when I was about 7. way before other people ripped it off decades later. Not to say that they didn't do a good job, but this was the original...
God loves you, and Jesus Christ is the way to Him. Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day so that all who believe in Him will be saved from Hell and have eternal life. Eternal life is a free gift from God to all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
whenever my friend is using the bathroom in a public place and some one comes in the stall,he sticks his foot in the next stall and shakes it singing, take these broken wings, and learn to fly again.-luv my buddy
I saw Mr. Mister in concert on 10-25-1985 as they played backup band for Tina Turner during her Private Dancer Tour. They weren't well received at all by the Turner fans and it was more than obvious to them. As things rapidly declined they stopped playing in the middle of the 3rd song and started playing this song which went over much better with the audience.
Tina began to perform shortly after and put on one hell of an unforgettable show. I wish I could go back and experience it all again.
@Ryan94Iam Being born in the '80s is overrated. I was born in '86 and was less than four when the '80s ended so being born in the '70s would've been better. Though then I would've been old as fuck by now so I'm not too sad about that. lol
@Rosvolainen Twenty years from now some snotty nose kid will be drooling over Lady Gagga and Cee Lo Green's music; saying, " Oh man! I love the music from before the world ended in 2012" and wish that they had been around toda. But much like you they will come to their senses and be glad that they weren't because otherwise, as you put it, " I would've been old as fuck by now so I'm not too sad about that." Time marches on for every one and rediscovering someone elses music is always fun!
That's me! But, I'm a proud ol' fart that knows the music in the 80's was a Hell of a lot more talented than today's tripe. This song is a perfect example of what I'm talking bout'.
