@joeshea1010 Hi..Thanks for comments. Been away from Tyrone for a good few years....Living in New Zealand at the moment. Good to know there are Clawhammer pickers back home.
I see. I was born in the Ligurian Region ( I ), and I live in little village in the appennine mountains. I lived in Erinn 5 years, mostly around Clare.
Sean's Dream is our Band name. you could hear something on you tube as well.
@DanDrochaid Hi Dan. Thanks for comments. I am Irish myself. Born and raised in County Tyrone and Irish music is my first love and grew up listening to reels & jigs etc. I have always had a fondness for Appalachian music and have no doubt it is heavily influenced by the music brought to the mountains by the Irish migrants.
Hi, Thanks for comment. It is a nice sounding instrument. It is a Deering 'Vega' Senator. Deering now make good quality instruments baring the famous Vega name. I sometimes put a bit of fabric inside the banjo to slightly muffle the sound...makes it more plunky and old-timey somehow.
I like very much the tune called Fortune. Never heard before. Very HYPNO music, for a trip in the Old Time Rocky Mountains
