I can honestly think of 50 000 things i'd rather put that motor into...ever a lawnmower, and i like that engine and even the brand but i feel germans can easily get that amount of power from half the engine capacity(like they do every day) and that makes an srt10 kind of disapointing, but awesome still

well sure,with a turbo and enough money,you can get up compresion and boost and get peak horsepower out of anything.The basso profundo of the motor is unique and was desired by the owner.The upside of 8-900 hp with modest boost in set up comparable to your german refernce makes this more than enough power.Compare apples to apples if you're going to go euro-snob. Love when Europhiles come crap on a one off that someone does for personal satisfaction. A lawnmower..really?

As the owner of an SRT-8, this seems like a bit of a waste. I cant tell without a better side shot, but if this thing doesn't have the Brembo brakes, stiffer suspension, and handling components like the SRT-8, then its just a viper engine shoveled into a soft, rolly-polly full-size sedan.

This car doesn't have the rear end of an SRT8 so I'm guessing they took an LX and modified the engine and the front end with new bumper parts.

I traded my V6 300 2.7L for a 300C SRT8. Once you start paying $3.26 a gallon Premium and your insurance shoots up $200 you soon realize that the fun is outshined by the cost.

I do however make 60mph in 4.5 seconds thanks to my mods !

@DRFTmonkeh Actually, there is a Viper V-10 powered 300 SRT-8 that was produced by the SRT team at Chrysler. They even considered selling the kit needed. Interest was gauged, and while some were VERY enthusiastic, the numbers didnt add up. It was never going to be a production vehicle though

@BadHaddy thats what happens to half of all concept cars. if there's a profitable niche for a product in the market, the manufacturer will move the concept into production. otherwise they keep it in a warehouse or sell it off. they've put the Viper V10 in the challenger and the charger too but it doesnt mean they're headed for production. this example will probably be at sema, or some other auto show. but this small vid is the least of dodge's plans for this car

It is available to order now. Fill out the application paperwork, and take it to any franchised dealer.  You can call 888-528-HEMI and get the paperwork.

Now to get one thats street legal :D

its not that simple. much things need to be modified. like you probly need double head gasket and a new cooling system. the exhaust need to be modified to. and i gues you load like 1,2bar on each turbo. nice work. you melted the piston rings and burned the headgasket. i can keep going aaaaaall day. cars and engines is my truly passion. my english is not my favourite
