Like there is no garbage where whiteshyte lives whenever there is an event!! Don't the city workers or event promoters and volunteers clean up AFTER? Ever been there when it wasn't Easter, do-do?
Also, at the beginning of the video where they are also celebrating and flying kites, do you see garbage there? If they "thrive in garbage" why aren't they thriving then?
these idiots would never put garbage bins and clean up their crap. Everywhere else in the world garbage is seen as a poverty stricken mindset. These folks seem to live and thrive in garbage. Clean up your damn recreational areas! How do the hell will you ever make progress.
check out 0:23 i go there every easter well i used to when i lived in guyana i was born there guyana home sweet home now i live in new york i hate it so... much
Oh I remember when I was there visiting my grandparents at easter we made a kite it was AWESOME! it was so pig it was practically lifting me of the ground my grandparents had to tie it to my waste lol I used to hate it when other people would tie razors to their kite tail to cut down other kites but it was funny if they ended up cutting their own kite tail. sigh. I miss guyana.
Thanks Ray for sharing. I have not seen so much of Guyana in 37 years. It is surprising to hear Tom Charles after all these years. I am only now really appreciative of the level of musicianship existent in his band at that time. James Cannings
can you picture guyana without racism, wow that would be so beautiful. poverty yes but guyanese will always eat.

Reminds me of my childhood and the fun of going and fly my kite at the seawall. Great family tradition in Guyana.
