  • very nice, the video metabolic syndrome a biological forgot the rest of the title but it was excellent and explains in detail about leptin. also I disagree with the overeating causing leptin resistance if your leptin sensitive or insulin sensitive you won't overeat. if your overeating your leptin resistant or coming off a diet. also high triglyerides are caused by the need for cells to use fat over glucose because of glucose intolerance. it means your not handling glucose well at all.

  • Holla! Have you tried - fast abs magic (search on google)? Ive heard some decent things about it and my buddy got hot Six pack abs and lost a lot of weight with it.

  • Wow! I learned a lot from that. I still need to watch it a couple of more times to make sure it sinks in. I also shared this with some of my family. Thank you!

  • You deserve your own TV hours, instead of jersey shore or something

  • great vlog... if wheat can causes leptin resistance too what would you suggest is the best type of sandwich bread for our kids theses days?

  • You make it all so EASY Sean! Which makes my job easier. Mahalo for being and sharing.

    Aloha~

  • I just stumbled upon your channel, blog, etc and am LOVING it! You're nailing it and spreading the good word. Looking forward to following you and learning more!

  • Awesome and simple explenation.Great job and thank you!

  • Hey Sean, need to want and hopefully will be trying your program soon...but please explain so wheat is bad? Bread, rice etc.

  • I have been watching your videos for a last year and promise to buy your book within few months - need to pay me debts first but I want to show apreciation for your work

  • @paxonPL Thanks. Email me through my website. I've got something for you.

  • Awesome vid Sean. You need to get your butt over to Weston Price London 2012 in March.

  • @sishorrock That would be fun. Thanks!

  • Hey Sean, do you completely avoid wheat? I'm not fat, I'm actually slightly underweight. I work full time at a coffee shop running around 8-9 hours a day so I see no reason to not have a sandwhich or a cookie once in a while (typically 2-3 times a week) ..Do you consider this too much?

  • the white board is a gret addition to the vid. I often get lost and have to replay the video in the other vids

  • Great video info Sean thank you for talking about calorie in calorie out, been talking to my clients about this for years and they though I was crazy. Thanks man.

  • @bigmanbosa No prob. Thanks for watching!

  • Simple yet informative- thanks for another great video!

  • @kyleknappfitness You're welcome!

  • I don't know how long I have been watching these videos but that "HEY How you all doing?" always scares me.

  • @soinlove8306 Hahaha!

  • Sean, will you ever sell a printed copy?

  • @fitnessmorlica Not sure. Been pondering that lately. Printing up hard copies gets really expensive. Depends on how many ebooks we can sell to be able to afford it.

  • @UndergroundWellness Well, then I hope your ebooks will become successful enough to become hard copies. Good luck!

  • Nobody makes complicated subjects easy to comprehend better than you. Thanks for all you do, Sean!

  • @seacheld5 Thanks!!

  • Great !!!

  • Yo Sean they don't have your book at barnes n noble man what the hell? lol

  • @ellpod It's because his book is an e-book, not a printed copy you can buy at book stores like Barnes and Noble. If you want to buy it you have to buy it off his website link, the darksideoffatloss(dot)com

  • hey sean great work! you should talk about any potential leptin balanceing supplements you recommend outside of diet and behavior changes :)

  • going up in views now. Good. By the way, can I buy your book if I live in Europe?

  • I like you Sean!!

  • nice

  • Awesome presentation, simple and easy to follow!

  • Sean, great explanation of Leptin.. Very informative video people can understand and relate to. There's so much information out there, but if people don't understand the "why" about food and the body, there will be a disconnect. Keep up the great work, and continue sharing the knowledge!

  • Another simple but informative video I now want to buy your book can I get it on amazon yet?

  • thank you Sean!

  • so what about those that think intermittent fasting is the way to go? It seems to have some of the life extension qualities of calorie restriction with less calorie restriction from what I've read.

The guy who made the lean gains website swears by it. What do you think?

  • excellent video!

  • thanks

  • Great video Sean! I really enjoy the way you present this information!

  • great video, as always! i'm gonna look for your book! i feel like i dont know almost anything about fat loss..

  • Great stuff, Sean. You should try to get Byron Richards on the show to talk about leptin and clinical nutrition, although I hear he's hard to get, but if anybody can do it it's you!

  • This video is evidence of the reason why you are the absolute best :)

I don't think there's a word for how supercool you are.

    Simply Natural Ideas

  • Great video. I have to make some changes.

  • so eat normally but work out at the same time?

  • great as always Sean!

  • The telephone analogy was brilliant... shameless plug btw.

  • And your probably going to die...that's not a good thing. Lmao. I love your videos.

  • I need to read some new books. Mastering Leptin and Wheat Belly sound like some good winter reads. Awesome video Sean.

  • Now im concerned about eating brown rice.. Sean do you think i should go back to eating white rice since wheat may be contributing to leptin resistance? But then again white rice is bleached and enriched.. please enlighten me.. -Juan

  • @killaj29ny there is no wheat in brown rice.

  • @killaj29ny i THINK that white and brown rice are kinda in the same boat. When I was on a bodybuilding diet I was instructed to eat WILD rice! Do you have access to wild rice?

  • @stinson86 what makes wild rice different from brown rice?

  • Hey Sean, my appetite has dropped tremendously since I've been eating to full content in this last year but it doesn't feel like my metabolism has kicked up any. I can see the difference between the times I work out and the times when I take a week long break from working out. How do we test leptin resistance?

  • Damn, I just got schooled.

  • Hey Sean! Can you please make a video on how a hardgainer is supposed to gain mass one day?

  • @mohsinuk2000 eat more... a lot more

  • GREAT video Sean, love you bro! This is education for real!! Love it.

  • I've been following the JERF diet, well I guess I should call it the JERF lifestyle for 3 months with great success. I've lost 25 pounds, my blood pressure is back in the normal range without medication and I have more energy than I know what to do with. When I miss or skip a meal due to school or other activities, (and when I can't bring food with me), I do not get hungry. My appetite does not increase at all and when i do get the chance to eat, I do not over eat. Is this normal?

  • @TheEasy10pins That's awesome!! So glad that's working out so well for you! When you skip meals, your body should be able to free up some blood sugar for you to run on. This is all VERY normal. :)

  • Sean, you're looking Ripped & Cut my man!! Cutting the bread products is the best thing we can do!

  • @ImageImagineMusic hehe! I've been working it out!! :)

  • Well done Sean

  • @TheMaXimusMark Thanks, Mark!

  • "you're probably gonna die. that's not a good thing." ^_^

  • i have an important question, can i eat apples close before i went to sleep? has this negative effects ?

  • @26DeislerFCB i wouldnt say "negative'' but its not good to eat anything 3hrs within bed time......anything including protein can cause an insulin spike which that supresses human growth hormone....which is vital for losing weight, gaining muscle , and stayinng young

  • @26DeislerFCB I'm obviously not Sean, but I'd advise against this. Something like cottage cheese or a casein shake is your best bet here, but if you're looking at fruit, go for something much slower digesting like a banana. An apple is going to give you quick acting sugars right before bed, and as you aren't going to need that energy it's going to turn into fat. Hope this helps!

  • @26DeislerFCB I wouldnt recomend it if for one reason it would be because it will spike your insulin level. In other words, it will be harder to fall asleep.

  • Great Video Sean! I loved your book, and this is yet another well thought out explanation of the Leptin Resistance segment. Keep it up man!

  • @fitnesstrainingbyjon Thanks, Jon!
