Do a Hermes Stomp to the correct area, then try to 'roll' forward. If you hit the correct spot, Kratos should ascend like on the vid. L1 is safe to use only once Kratos is high enough.

I haven't got the hang of this one yet. Not sure what I need to do to make it happen but I can hit the crooked surface and then I can't seem to do the "glide" or whatever its being called...

Do a Hermes Stomp towards it, then roll towards where you want to go. After you've nudged yourself a bit higher, do a PR - make sure it's a full one, otherwise it fizzed out and you can't do Poseiden Jump with it. PJ (just jump, don't worry about the direction until you're up in the air).

Then do another Hermes Stomp and roll. PJ again. If you're high enough, you can start blocking instead of rolling during the "glide" - it's more stable, and with the right momentum it will carry you right to the exit. If not, try doing a grab to get some momentum. About PJ: I think I explained it at SDA's thread at some point, so see there if you're not certain.
