I love Orihime people who hate her, don't understand her and that's why she is hated so much.They think they know so much about her,when in reality they don't because they're blinded by the fact that she is not a Shinigami and can't possibly kill anyone easy or the fact she says Ichigo's name alot. I think it's better to call someone's name over and over again for the fact they are worried about that person fighting than just standing there and say "Hurry up, I want to go home"H8s need to learn

i know for a fact being a teenager is tough, mainly all the bleach cast are teenagers and they deal. i think she is just dealing with her stress in an unhealthy way right now because your right she is a 15 year old girl going through a lot.
i think out all the bleach characters she isn't the weakest, just the most over shadowed person. she never really got to express herself until the HM arc where she was forced to cope in terrible surroundings.
The problem is that shes just REALLY sensitive compared to the other characters. Although everyone thinks shes stupid, she thinks about things way too much which leads to bouts of depression, self confidance issues and to reach conclusions she cant always see the path to. The interesting thing about her is her amazing maturity regarding the importance of life despite having the powers she does. Being a kid, she doesnt know everything about what she is or where to go, but shes getting there.
She broke her promise. She trained so she could help her friends. she went to HM to protect her friends, and in the end put one of her friends in danger purposely and begged 4 help from the other. she even admits to herself that she was upset she did it.
i'm happy that she realized her mistake. that way she can grow from it.
Its a very difficult situation though, people need to stop thinking of her as a seasoned warrior and keep remembering shes just a 15 year old girl trying to keep up with everything happening to her. She didnt intentionally break her promise, she just doesnt know what shes supposed to do when faced with such difficult moral decisions involving trust and reliance. Also she would never 'purposely' jeopordise a friends life, she cant even stand to watch her enemies die let alone those she loves.
You say youre trying to understand her buuut i dont think you are ;) Youre not really thinking why she does what she does, youre simply looking at it from an outsiders perspective and that really is why so many people hate her. She isnt an easy character to understand, which is funny because shes such a simple character but her plot line is based on psychology and human emotion which is a far more complex web compared to most Bleach protagonists who are fairly 'what you see is what you get'.

btw i don't dislike orihime cuz of some childish jealousy. i just don't like when she breaks her promises, i don't like it when anyone does.
i hope to see her grow strong so she can fufill her promise to herself bcuz you have to stand on your own 2 feet at some point. i'm positive after watching this video that the rocky points in her life are over and she will grow for the better.
I dont think she 'broke' her promise, i think its just that everything is pretty much flying past her at a hundred miles an hour and shes kinda standing there just not having a clue what to do or how to do it. Kubo has not written her as a promise breaker, but rather a very young and scared girl in a very large and dangerous world. Sometimes we dont always know exactly how to achieve the goals we set ourselves in life and sometimes oppourtunities pass us by. Doesn't mean there wont be more.
umm... i was wondering when does orihime get her 2 powers ( if any ) cause i mean chad got a seconed fist and it seems to me everyone is leveling up exept her soo if any one knows who reads bleach could tell me that would be great.

For anyone who has been really paying attention to her plot line, theres been many subtle, forgettable hints at developing her in that way. It would seem shes different to the others in that her powers will be directly linked to a huge revelation of her emotions. It wont be something that just happens, like Chad or ishidabut rather something she will have to understand. Ichigo, Hachigen and Aizen have all contributed to showing us theres more to her powers than what we/she currently know about.
Sorry, i didnt mean it to come out like that :P I just meant that i think only people who really think about Orihime too much (like me) tend to pick up on that stuff, whilst a lot of others pretend they never happened.
But hes deeeeeeaaaaaddddddd. Not that i care either way really, im not espescially bothered about ichihime or the millions upon billions of other pairings the fans have thought up for her, its just that theres an awful lot more ichigo based material there than the others, or atleast there was when i made this video. xD
I did but its so ambigous, like most things in the story, i think its open to a lot of interpretation. Although i dont think it can be denied she had a huge impact on him, i genuinely believe she touches everyone she meets in an odd way. I just dont think she quite realises it or what she did to Ulquiorra. Watching him die upset her a lot but she cant stand seeing people die or get hurt at the best of times. Its a complicated plot line often simplified by shippers sometimes.
Fair enough :3 Like i said, its really open to interpretation so i dont think theres any right or wrong, just different ways to see it so whatever works best for you.

i luv this song, Good editing :) Orihime isn't my particular fav but this amv made her really shine :) I feel bad that most people hate her...i understand that her abilities don't allow to be very effective(fightning i mean not defense and healing.) I used to but when i realised people are so thick that even if you put it at the top of the description, in capitolised letters with symbols and smileys either side, they STILL ask (rather rudely) for the song details, so i just couldnt be bothered anymore. Indeed. A lot of people forget shes still just a little girl, and even though shes had a difficult life its all been quite domestic compared to other characters. Its quite strange how people that dislike her so much expect so much out of her. I think theres enough characters in the show who have had to grow up too fast but her current ordeal has really opened her eyes to the gravity of the situation shes in i think.

The song kind of fits a character of my own story... Anyway... I realized that there are really many people who don´t like her because she has fallen in love with Ichigo and ´cause she has big breasts. O.O WHAT A REASON TO HATE SOMEONE. ´-.- I just want people who can´t understand the suffering of others to suffer their pain... Still I hate seeing people suffering and it could never make me happy... So I understand why Orihime always saves EVERYONE! I would do the same... if I could heal. ^^
Now (and don't get me wrong, here), I don't like IchiHime. I actually have a hard time standing it when it's in its fandom form, to be perfectly honest (a bit too much of an IshiHime fan). Now, on a second note, I like how in your description you point out that this isn't straight-on "OMG ICHIHIME". To tell you the truth, I read from "Orihime's character" on before I watched the AMV and read the first bit after for some reason. Despite that, I could see that this was a tribute to HER and not the IchiHime pairing. A large part of her character just happens to be her honest love for him.
xD yeah i didnt do it on purpose, it was just a really difficult effect, quality refused to participate in the creation of this video. But yes, it was always intended as a tribute to her, how much i heart her and how she had her little impact on some of the characters around her. Also, I don't know if you meant it intentionally or not, but I really like how during the instrumental it was a little hard to see Orihime; much like how her character was at the beginning of the series. Very obscure, but all the same there and with good intention. Not to mention her love for Ichigo. When it came to the latter part and where you highlighted the two was in much the same vein of thought, but I'm sure it's self-explanatory.
I think this is the best Orihime tribute I've seen, next to one other. I really, REALLY love how you compiled the video- your choice of clips, the effects you used and where you used them - were perfect.

I love this! XD I like both Orihime and Rukia, though Orihime is my bigger fav, I always think it's unfortunate a lot of ruki and ori fans don't get along. The two are CLEARLY best friends in the show. I mean Orihime was even mourning over the fact that she was jealous of Rukia, and she didn't want to be because she likes Rukia a lot. And I shouldn't even have to mention how Rukia was the only one to cheer Orihime up after Urahara told her she had to stay behind.
Yeah, it is an awful shame. :( I think they're very different characters, but both of them are well written and likeable, i dont see any reason why people can't accept theyre both part of the story and they both bring a lot to it.
I dont think theres any doubt amongst people who are mature enough to see past all the petty hating that whilst she isnt battle material she is without a doubt one of the most powerful forces in Bleach with an ability that can deny events/objects and even peoples existance if she were that way inclined. I think anime fans have become too accustomed to their blood-mongers so characters like Inoue are just dismissed until they kill someone of any worth or pick regular fights.

I LOVE orihime! She's the most well developed character in Bleach, there are so many layers to her character! The hueco arc only made me like her more because of how brave and selfless she is through all the crap she is put through. And i'm sorry, but when she slapped Ulquiorra i couldn't help but give a 'Hell YEAH!' :D He had it coming, with the horrible things he was saying!

I've always seen this video in your Channel but I've /never/ watched it. This is the first. I don't know what it is. Something about "Shooting Star" made me turn away. Mostly because it reminded me of a Japanese song that I hate greatly. But now that I've gotten over that I am just, WOW!

I think Kubo is showing a more mature side to her, simply that she wont tolerate people putting her friends down that way. Which shows even further what an interesting character she is. They kidnap her, insult her, beat her and stil lshe just takes it in her stride but the minute people put her friends down we see this other side of her.

I like how you added sounds from the anime with the song- I mean sound is just as important as visual...ness? Also, adding text at the end: I think that writing can enhance the beauty of a scene (espically japanese writing, it's so pretty!). That scene has some of the most beautiful lines in Bleach so I was glad added the whole five lifetimes thing (it's such a brave thing for her to say after all)
I took what i thought was the best things from previous Orihime videos and then added some new things for the song but i really wanted it to stay clean and bold, hime videos just shouldnt be messy. My comment half deleated... weird. Anyways, what I said before was that I really love the water and night refrences you made for Orihime and how each colour matched the characters scenes perfectly. The scene where Orihime has her umbrella is a great starting point and really kicks off the whole AMV (I think that is where her feelings really devolp and she becomes alot more complex as a character). I love the song- it's so bittersweet: I love it when music really has feelings put into it.
I really like how you focus on one or two things per scene: like a characters face or action with a few well thought out effects. It keeps things simple and really enhances the beauty of the anime. I really can't do short and snappy comments (it's a curse!)

B4 she left for HM, she said she didnt want 2 b protected by Ichigo anymore and that she wanted to stand by his side.
While she's in HM, she only protects Ichigo once with her shield and then ends up screaming that 'specific line'.

i hope to see her grow strong so she can fufill her promise to herself bcuz you have to stand on your own 2 feet at some point. i'm positive after watching this video that the rocky points in her life are over and she will grow for the better.

I dont think she 'broke' her promise, i think its just that everything is pretty much flying past her at a hundred miles an hour and shes kinda standing there just not having a clue what to do or how to do it. Kubo has not written her as a promise breaker, but rather a very young and scared girl in a very large and dangerous world. Sometimes we dont always know exactly how to achieve the goals we set ourselves in life and sometimes oppourtunities pass us by. Doesn't mean there wont be more.

For anyone who has been really paying attention to her plot line, theres been many subtle, forgettable hints at developing her in that way. It would seem shes different to the others in that her powers will be directly linked to a huge revelation of her emotions. It wont be something that just happens, like Chad or ishidabut rather something she will have to understand. Ichigo, Hachigen and Aizen have all contributed to showing us theres more to her powers than what we/she currently know about.

I did but its so ambigous, like most things in the story, i think its open to a lot of interpretation. Although i dont think it can be denied she had a huge impact on him, i genuinely believe she touches everyone she meets in an odd way. I just dont think she quite realises it or what she did to Ulquiorra. Watching him die upset her a lot but she cant stand seeing people die or get hurt at the best of times. Its a complicated plot line often simplified by shippers sometimes.

I used to but when i realised people are so thick that even if you put it at the top of the description, in capitolised letters with symbols and smileys either side, they STILL ask (rather rudely) for the song details, so i just couldnt be bothered anymore. I don't hate Orihime....i think she's intelligent in her own way but still very immature....she doesn't really begin to show significate signs of growing up until she goes to say goodbye to Ichigo and restrains herself from kissing him.

Indeed. A lot of people forget shes still just a little girl, and even though shes had a difficult life its all been quite domestic compared to other characters. Its quite strange how people that dislike her so much expect so much out of her. I think theres enough characters in the show who have had to grow up too fast but her current ordeal has really opened her eyes to the gravity of the situation shes in i think.

ha i agree...she is still imature in ways that the others are mature..she just wants to be able to do something special like the rest but she usually gets in the way and when she shows her maturity and strength by leaving she overcomes her immaturity and really opens her eyes to the fact that she needed to grow up.she left her past behind and has grown on her challenges.anyone who thinks she is a let down should take another look...she is strong, willed, and courageous.....what else do they want

The song kind of fits a character of my own story... Anyway... I realized that there are really many people who don´t like her because she has fallen in love with Ichigo and ´cause she has big breasts. O.O WHAT A REASON TO HATE SOMEONE. ´-.- I just want people who can´t understand the suffering of others to suffer their pain... Now (and don't get me wrong, here), I don't like IchiHime. I actually have a hard time standing it when it's in its fandom form, to be perfectly honest (a bit too much of an IshiHime fan). But this didn't annoy me one bit. And I could go on to repeat myself with "BECAUSE IT'S JUST WHO SHE IS AND WHO SHE LOVES RERERERERE D:", but that would be pointless.
..And I just lost my next train of though.
I suppose that's my cue to stop writing a novel and just watch the video again. XD

Now, on a second note, I like how in your description you point out that this isn't straight-on "OMG ICHIHIME". To tell you the truth, I read from "Orihime's character" on before I watched the AMV and read the first bit after for some reason. Despite that, I could see that this was a tribute to HER and not the IchiHime pairing. A large part of her character just happens to be her honest love for him.

But yes, it was always intended as a tribute to her, how much i heart her and how she had her little impact on some of the characters around her. Also, I don't know if you meant it intentionally or not, but I really like how during the instrumental it was a little hard to see Orihime; much like how her character was at the beginning of the series. Very obscure, but all the same there and with good intention. Not to mention her love for Ichigo. When it came to the latter part and where you highlighted the two was in much the same vein of thought, but I'm sure it's self-explanatory.

I love this! XD I like both Orihime and Rukia, though Orihime is my bigger fav, I always think it's unfortunate a lot of ruki and ori fans don't get along. The two are CLEARLY best friends in the show. I mean Orihime was even mourning over the fact that she was jealous of Rukia, and she didn't want to be because she likes Rukia a lot. And I shouldn't even have to mention how Rukia was the only one to cheer Orihime up after Urahara told her she had to stay behind.

I dont think theres any doubt amongst people who are mature enough to see past all the petty hating that whilst she isnt battle material she is without a doubt one of the most powerful forces in Bleach with an ability that can deny events/objects and even peoples existance if she were that way inclined. I think anime fans have become too accustomed to their blood-mongers so characters like Inoue are just dismissed until they kill someone of any worth or pick regular fights.

As for anyone who harps on about her getting kidnapped and being useless because of it...erm i hate to mention it but rukia also played the damsel in distress for oh, about 60chapters. I LOVE orihime! She's the most well developed character in Bleach, there are so many layers to her character! The hueco arc only made me like her more because of how brave and selfless she is through all the crap she is put through. And i'm sorry, but when she slapped Ulquiorra i couldn't help but give a 'Hell YEAH!' :D He had it coming, with the horrible things he was saying!

I think Kubo is showing a more mature side to her, simply that she wont tolerate people putting her friends down that way. Which shows even further what an interesting character she is. They kidnap her, insult her, beat her and stil lshe just takes it in her stride but the minute people put her friends down we see this other side of her.

I like how you added sounds from the anime with the song- I mean sound is just as important as visual...ness? Also, adding text at the end: I think that writing can enhance the beauty of a scene (espically japanese writing, it's so pretty!). That scene has some of the most beautiful lines in Bleach so I was glad added the whole five lifetimes thing (it's such a brave thing for her to say after all)

My comment half deleated... weird. Anyways, what I said before was that I really love the water and night refrences you made for Orihime and how each colour matched the characters scenes perfectly. The scene where Orihime has her umbrella is a great starting point and really kicks off the whole AMV (I think that is where her feelings really devolp and she becomes alot more complex as a character). I love the song- it's so bittersweet: I love it when music really has feelings put into it.
