@queenofsamanthaland For me, Meredith said it all: "I don't understand me. I wanted to show him compassion. And...it was horrible."
It is. Killing the killer is doing just what he just did. KILLING SOMEONE IT'S ALWAYS A CRIME. Just because you are "punishing" him for his crimes, doesn't mean you get to kill him. NO ONE HAS the right to do it, If you think it's fair, you are no better than that killer of innocent people. No one has the right, not the killer, not USA, not YOU.
i have never cried so much over an episode and its this scene (and the one where the mother is saying goodbye to her dying son) that gets me everytime. I cry so so hard haah
And while you're going on and on about how the death penalty is a sin, killing people and taking a life is a sin, what do you have to say to people killing INNOCENT people? When a mother is killed, when a pretty innocent young girl is raped and killed, i wonder if you have ever taken that into perspective for once.. A LIFE IS A LIFE after all, like you said. That is WAY WORSE than a (quick and relatively painless) CRIMINAL execution.
Well, did the old or disabled people kill or wound or harm anyone? Now killing those people would be a crime, because they never intentionally caused anyone any harm simply for self-gratification.since when does the USA pay for their healthcare? Its mainly insurance.I wouldn't mind my tax money going to care for someone who didn't deserve their hardships but to keep some murderer alive? Those same countries have some of the lowest crime rates, because we humans, are animals governed by fear.
That guards can stand by and watch a human being being killed is terrible. That a doctor who swore the Hippocratic Oath can aid in the murder of a human being is disgusting. Nothing justifies murder.
This is truly an act of compassion from Meredith's side. She is amazing. And so is Derek and Cristina in their comfort of her.
@queenofsamanthaland So it's okay that they murder him but not okay that he murdered someone? Another murder won't bring back the families loved ones - nothing can make that go away.
@Pallapakology Would you rather the government use taxpayers' money to keep people like him alive or use it to feed kids and families living below the poverty line, or to provide free education?
@queenofsamanthaland Look at the list of countries where the death penalty is actually used. Not a good list for a country, who consider itself civilised, to be on. USA didn't abolish the execution of minors until the beginning of 2005.
ellen is a very overrated actress she gives very good performances i actually forget im watching only a tv show with this types of scene you can feel the emotion
@nancydrewgirl911 The dialogue of the lemons is a key piece to understand that. When William says that before he dies, you know that he wasn't playing her. And deep down Mer did know that, that he only was scared.
This scene was incredible!!! It was sooooo sad when Mar saw that guy being executed!!! I felt sooo bad for both of them!!! :'( The acting was amazing!!!!!
I was so happy Jackson survived too and so happy when Mar and Christina made up!!! Their friendship is so inspirational and powerful!
That was so sweet. I love there friendship. I have seen that episode about 10 times. And I cry everytime. I felt so sorry for Mer. She has a big heart. Glad mer and chris stopped fighting. They are each others person.

@queenofsamanthaland That is the same as saying we should kill old people or handicapped people because they cost the state money. A life is a life.

I don't mind what it touched me the most... The violence of the execution scene or the acting of Ellen crying of a deep compation.
What's sure is that scene still makes me reflecting two day after seeing it on TV...
