That is nonsense, the BMW 330i E90 has this speedo which goes al the way up to 260km/h. The reason why your's is different, is because your Ci (Coupe or convertible) is still the "old" E46 model.
Btw, the 2007 335i has a speedometer that goes up to 280km/h.
I just checked and you are absolutely right about the 335 - speedometer ....Haven't driven the 335s yet but i just know what my panel looks like....Cheers

The E92 & E93 read to 280 km/h irrespective of the model(apart from the M3 which goes to 330 km/h).
