  • I'd like to listen David Coverdale cover

  • Brian is the great vocalist too with the flexible, sensual vocal

  • brian may my fookin arse... this is 100% graham bonnet during his stretch with rainbow... brian may did a far better job.... im bit biast being a 100% queen/brian may band fan

  • @madradda1 watch 'till the end. 1st is Rainbow, 2nd come Brian May

  • aaaa ok ok, in the middle of the video ,we can heard brian may play that song. ok, in the middle of the song. in the first part is only rainbow playing the song

  • this is not brian my or brian may band, this is rainbow!!!!!!!!!! please, heard tha voice!!!!! this is not b may!!!!! i am fan of queen and i know this is not bria may!!

  • this ain't may,tis rainbow

  • to tericsonx1 you only listened to the 1st version ya duffus there ARE 2 versions here

  • Brian May could have made a little more effort to keep it from sounding just like Rainbow -- less the vocals.

  • this is the song my dad wanted at his funeral : (

  • This is Rainbow, not Brian May. I have everything of Blackmore's music, from Purple days, and I saw them live twice with Graham Bonnet, this is Rainbow !!!

  • @MrRicardo11 Did you hear the whole opload? Two versions in one, with Cozy on both as a tribute

  • @MrRicardo11 Actually there are two versions here, and the second version is with Brian May & Cosy etc, my mistake.

  • I prefer All Night Long for Bonnet/Rainbow, but this song is godly and Graham's vocals cannot be touched. Although anyone is welcome to try.

  • is this joe turner? good song

  • Graham Bonnet is the best vocalist for this song, by leaps and bounds. No cover I've heard has come close.

  • as the title sez it's Rainbow followed by Brian May

  • as the title sez it's Rainbow followed by Brian May

  • First version is definately the original unmastered studio version from Rainbow Down to Earth and featured the lineup of Blackmore, Powell, Bonnet, Airey, Glover as mentioned by uploader Gillan91. Only common factor in BMB version is The great Cozy Powell, who's disticitive drumming style is apparent. Hence described as a tribute to Cozy I guess. Brian May could never hope to match Graham Bonnet vocally, so a very different version, that true Rainbow/ Bonnet fines might find hard to digest!

  • blackmore is more tchnically advanced than may on guitar because brian may although hes a genius still has to use pedals and special amps to get his sound where as blackmore can take any crappy old strat and make it sound like its from another planet check out ritchie with rainbow theres one concert in the early 80,s where he gets a crappy strat copy and starts playing kill the king on it before smashing it to bits but even though it eas a piece of shit blackmore still made it sound great legend

  • @shredmaster100 I know wikipedia is not the be all and end all of knowledge ...but I suggest you check out its page on Richard Blackmore. Go to the 4th paragraph of the equipment section. According to this article he utilised quite a few guitar synths and effects pedals while performing throughout his career and even today...

  • This is Rainbow and the singer is Graham Bonnet. Brian May bannd do a great version but this isnt them! This is the origional!!

  • @krazydiamondart Head East had a minor hit with this song in 1978.

  • YEP YEP YEP I AGREE TERICSONX1

  • Craig Gruber iz awesome n thiz band!! :-D

  • Two of the best british guitarstI I was lucky and got see brian may Live But have not seen Riche Blackmore , To see them both together would be fucking awesome

  • @PauloKiske better than freddie??? he's good but he could never be better than freddie. by the way this songs kicks ass

  • it still any doubt!?

    brian may signature... period

  • I'm sure y'all are right but I still like Joe Lynn Turner better than Graham Bonnet. I think he's more versatile and Slaves and Masters has to be one of my fave rock albums ever, in the whole world... and he's better looking :)

  • Brian May does a very credible vocal on this.. he evens cops Blackmore's solo pretty well. The solo at the end is signature May though, very nice.

  • Joe Lynn Turner and Doogie White never came close to the Live versions from 1979-1980 with Graham when it comes to this song.

  • Comment removed

  • I gotta give at least 4 stars to any vocalist who can do justice to this song. It absolutely shreds your throat. Almost as bad as trying to sing Highway To Hell lol

  • I agree....tried it once at karaoke....took an hour for my voice to recover

  • @Bigstud19 You will need a strong voice to sing this song. Honesly I have a real strong voice, But I cannot sing :P

Brian may band version of since youve been gone= CRAP

  • What, the best voclist for this song is Graham Bonnet

  • brian may is the best vocalist ever!

  • folks, read the description! it's since you've been gone played by rainbow and THEN by brian may!

  • next time both live but nice vid 5/5!

  • You know, though I love both cover versions, I think Brian's version blows Rainbow's out of the water.

  • \If any of you realised.....The Brain May band version is AFTER the rainbow version = ]

  • that isnt brian may thats rainbows original version

  • This is not the Brian May band. This is Rainbow. Pure and simple. Ritchie Blackmore. Grahm Bonnet. Cozy Powell. Roger Glover. Perhaps you've heard of them?

  • yes, is the Brian May Band: I have the video too...

  • @Gillan91 nop. brian may did this too but this is pure rainbow. orig. russ ballard.

  • @Gillan91

Here's a hint. It's Rainbow. Nothing more. Nothing less.

  • @Gillan91 THIS is NOT Brian May!! This is the original song from "Down to Earth"!! Doubt us? Go look it up!! And listen!!

  • @Gillan91 Ooops. Soz . . *blushes*. I do apologize.

  • @Gillan91 no....Brian May Band cover on the vocal is Brian May

  • read the description

  • @tericsonx1 I think youre right, my album version sounds exactly the same

  • @tericsonx1

Thank you! It had to be said. People who title songs with their Azz give me a sandy Vag.

  • @tericsonx1 Brian May live at Brixton Academy version. One of the best fucking ever, along with Bonnet-Rainbow one ;D

  • Listen to Brian GO!!!

  • Cool rock anthem!!!

  • this takes me right back.........love it

  • I didnot know that, ahhh another illusion gone.... ;-)

  • why brian may band???????????????

  • I LOVE this song.

    Reminds me of summer.

  • AMAZING

  • Made into a great dance song by Master Blaster

  • You mean stolen by Master Blaster, seems like every good song is used by nowadys wouldbe musicians and turnied into either rap or crap. Sorry, if you like it, that is oke ofcourse, each is entitled to his/hears opinion, but I realy hate it that way. Whatever happend to honnest musicians, dj's used to be the guys who talked between two songs, nothing more...

  • thanks for posting!

  • The cream always rises to the top and this is a prime example.

  • extraordinary

  • Este track es del albun down to heart.-

    Nada de brian may.
