All but one of them fell apart completely before 100K miles (and rattled all the way there), and that was with all scheduled maintenance. By comparison, I've been driving a 99 Camry for the past several years and just rolled over 203K miles, and all I've had to replace was the starter. GM was a good company back in the day, but they produce shit now.

Early GM wasn't bad...but my experience with GM vehicles from 2001 and up has been very poor, to the point that I will not own another. By comparison, my Camry has outdone any American car, Chevy or otherwise, that I've ever owned...exception being a 1991 Grand Marquis that could probably survive an atomic blast.

Yes, my first truck is either gonna be a tacoma/tundra/4runner/. Did you know that rust was such a problem on GMs that some of the early-late 90s sierra/silverados rims rusted so much that they were underivable.
