Anyone with two brain cells knows that it is not Christians or Hindus that attack us but the followers of Islam. So if you are sending thousands upon thousands of those followers to judgment you are in fact fighting Islam whether you want to admit it publicly or not.

There are plenty of Christian fringe groups that committed atrocities, so do you think Christianity is also an enemy?

The flaw in conservative logic have been very apparent, they like to treat individuals like an entity based on common characteristics. What if I tell you are you evil because you shared genes of your father who committed crimes? Got empathy?

We may not be at war against Islam, but Islam is at war against us; and by "us", I mean the West. They want Sharia Law, women veiled and mutillated, and no criticism of Islam on any level.

Also, they are not going to school with our kids. They are demainding, and gettings, separate Islamic schools where evolution is not taught, and girls are kept away from a "Western" eduction.

Denying that is denying reality; which is killing us.

Rachel Maddow, who knows she can't lick pussy in Pakitstan but defends islam like it were her first born child has bought into the notion that islam is just a routine and quiet faith, no different than than the Amish, Quakers, Hindus, Mennonites, et al. Actually, we ARE at war with Islam. Or it certainly is with us. Not as a personal religion, but as a political ideoligy. Islam is an all encompasing ideology that dictates pretty much every aspect of life. Its amazing that people still dont get this. Read the quran, listen to what the "terrorists" are actually saying rather than putting words in their mouths. If you dont, then we stand no chance of defeating the current fundamentalist movement in Islam that wants to destroy the west.

Oh, goody, Newt's propaganda show features the David Irving of Middle Eastern studies, Bernard Lewis. Two 2012 scenarios: either these hardcore racist sentiments subside and the GOP gets their own Jeremiah Wright per day on the campaign trails, or Newt & the GOP ride this sentiment and see if they can outdo Hitler or something.

@poopstreek I am resolutely against most of Obama's policies but that doesn't matter, does it, because if one does not talk about islamofascism or sharia law in the US one is labeled a liberal or a socialist or an "Obama supporter" and that's that. But talking about whether Obama is a secret Muslim's got nothing to do with policy. It implies that Islam in and of itself is bad and that there's an international Muslim conspiracy (structurally it's the same as antisemitism). So fuck the GOP.

Also, by now I can pretty much go GOP figure by GOP figure and tell you on which policies we do disagree. (And don't get me started on the Democrats...) But it's not something I reckon you would find terribly interesting, cause it's away from abstractions one can call in like an airstrike by loudly proclaiming "Oh! Oh! It's 1984, dude! Newspeak! I don't believe in pre-emptive strikes and wars, where nations attack other nations for no real reason. its morally wrong to attack someone for no reason, destroy their life, even kill them just because you're psychotic and think it would be fun, so is attacking another nation for no real reason other than to show military prowess. to me these things seem self evident. what this does is create more violence and hate, I mean, the person's whose life you destroyed is going to want your head

the idea of clash of civilizations has been around for a long time. a lot of people criticized it and argued it didn't hold water. many others were very convinced by the whole premise and started to believe it as some sort of inevitability. i think when the cold war ended, people who view the world in terms of conflict and don't believe people can get along, seemingly suscribing to the notion that the need and want for a fight is ingrained in human nature, needed something to fill the vacuum
