I think that you just hitted ground nad your engine failed, but this could be bird aswell. Notice that you cannot see bird in DCS or LO but you can hit him :)

... must be me but I don't see any visible smoke in the rear view mirrors from the "flaming" engine. I notice there's no screech from the landing/tire rubber smoke or high-G vapor either. Were these left out in LOMAC/FC? Terrain/water are awesome though, infinitely better compared to Flanker 2.51 which I still enjoy "flying" because of its comparatively small footprint on the hard drive...

the lag happens with me with blackshark. If I render a track in the record AVI tool in-game, and start a mission it should have no lag. Also if you look slowly in like feeding the RAM the extra pieces, the units to your left and right, you should have no lag. One final thing, the more units you destroy, the less the lag cuz the CPU just gets loads of these units off from rendering. Hope this helps, and if you have blackshark, I'd be happy to fly like your wingy. I know you have love to Russia :D

@shutup735 It's relatively the same compared to FC1, but the graphics, AI, and ballistics behavior is FAR superior to the original expansion.

For one, missiles can't be dodged just by mindlessly spewing flares while missiles ALSO will not lock on "Maddog" on a target. There have been various improvements all around for gameplay.

Why do all these plane sims have fast fighter jets or large behemoth Boeings filled with asshat passengers? Is there no game out there where you can fly B1's, B2's, F117's, B52's, Tu-95's, Tu22M3's and you have to fly through air defenses, sneak up on people with your targeting pod, drop the bomb and fly/sneak the fuck back with migs/F15 looking for you?

It would be the ultimate middleground.

@lesleyhenriquez Not a bad idea, really... However, the information on most of if not all of those aircraft is still classified by the American and Russian military.

In order to create an accurate flight sim with those planes, or even a moderately accurate one like Lock On, you still need to understand the flight model and how the aircraft works.

@17589 Moderately accurate would be enough. Worked for lomac.  I looked at Flightgear and thought of putting it in myself, But apart from certain figures (drag and all kinds of stuff), you still need targets like tanks/cars/bridges/bunkers, the weapons themselves, all kinds of flir and nv stuff. It's not doable when I only know Blender. It sucks. Waaay back in the day there was a Janes sim out, and it did have an F117 in it. Sneaking and bombing was the best part of the entire game.
