i would say plasmas are the best for gaming. i play my xbox on a 64' sony plasma TV and it is probably the best TV i've ever gamed on. the colors and the contrast are beyond perfect and i see no problem with the refresh rate. i've played on my uncles 56' sony LCD and the colors and contrast aren't all their. also LCDs have a tendency to look grainy in picture. all in all, plasmas are the #1 tvs for HD gaming. color is vibrant and picture is amazing!

@thejinn96 from the research I did when my tv broke it was a 10% failure rate I wouldn't wory to much. Vizio sells double and tripple the amount of other manufactures because of the price point so your bound to hear more about vizios problems

The tech told me that this happens to all tv brands he also has contracts with Sony and samsung and fixes just as many. He also told me you can fix it yourself everything is modular and it just snaps on. I just hope it doesn't happen again so far it's been working great

Bought my 37 1080p vizio had it a month was playing bad company2 and got the pop of death and now will have to wait a month for a tech to recieve my claim from vizio and have someone come fix it and if it can't be fixed by repairman l have to wait for a box to come and ship it to vizio to fix and I'm stuck paying shipping costs because my tv is under 40 inches

just bought this tv for $360 at Costco strictly to play MW2 on xbox live, I must say it has a sweet picture really bright, the only negative is the crappy sound system. That I will fix later, If you want a decent entry level lcd and you have a small budget this is the tv for you.
I had a vizio and was not happy with the picture when it was plugged in to direct tv. Returned it for a Samsung Ln32b460 that i got for $550. Best extra money i ever spent. For a few hundred more you get like 5X the contrast ratio and a better all around tv.
the remote isn't as cheap as your old tv haha

You can play in 1080p, not just 720p or 1080i. I think it's a mistake on Vizio's part or they didn't test it. BTW, Vizio's are actually Sony TVs.
