I love how just because one band member leaves, people think the band's nothing. Don't lie, if Derek would've left instead of Jason, we all would've felt the same way with Derek. Mayday Parade is still amazing and always will be, they just lost one member, it happens to a lot of bands.

I'm not saying that Mayday Parade suck (because they don't), and I believe everyone is entitled their opinion, but they did change after Jason left, that's a fact. I personally think for it was for the worse. That doesn't mean I can't sit down and enjoy their new stuff, but I loved the old stuff. Jason had everything to gain when starting his journey with Go Radio and it seems he is finally getting the recognition he deserves. Stop arguing, stop comparing and just listen to the music.

Without one of their strongest members, they had to go a different way, and they went the way they chose to. They really had no choice, they had to end up changing.

They probably gained a lot of new fans going in the direction they did, and hopefully wanted to. They still make awesome music, but for me it doesn't compare to the songs on A Lesson in Romantics. I mean, they're still catchy and all that, but the old songs had so much originality and identity. Not to mention the writing was fucking brilliant.

What made Mayday Parade so good and unique was Jason's voice and the two part singing. THe harmony was amazing! And Jason's voice was different from every other band. After he left I could tell a definite difference in Mayday's new album.

I am so tired of hearing this Jason made mayday parade shit. Like seriously, he was a third guitarist (which the band didn't need), the back up vocalist (jake does the job, too.) and the songwriter, which granted Jason is so great, and yes MP's songs dn't have that same lyrical mind to them, but in no way does that make the song bad.  You dont have to write like Jason to be a good band. Mayday Parade is great with jake and derek, go radio is great with jason.

Get over it.

Mayday Parade sucks with out Jason Lancaster, the best song on Mayday Parade's new cd wasnt even written by them not to mention they didnt even credit the person who wrote it. They suck, Go Radio has completely surpassed them both lyrically, thank you jason lancaster, and surpassed them musically. Mayday Parade is now garbage.
