Formula 1 gets more & more ridiculous in the recent years. It should be all about the racing & passion, but it's more about the marketing & unsignificant non-racing bullshit. I thought, that only Honda has gone mad, but it seems that I was wrong...
Who cares about fashion models?!?!?! Those money could go on nice, F1-promoting RedBull events, with interesting facilities & shows like RedBull X-Fighters or something like that!!!
I take your point and I know that F1 has alot of bullshit which we could all do without. (future video idea?)
However, grid girls/pitbabes whatever you call them have been in F1 for a long, long time. Part of the glamour they usually say... Una is just another version of that in my opinion.
I do like some of the marketing ideas from recent years - track and open days, demo runs, city visits, F1 parks, Minardi F1X2 etc.
A great asset F1 has is that ability to create an incredible atmosphere, or as Pep describes, "glamour" throughout race weekends. Beautiful girls definitely help create that atmosphere.
