@MrJarrod666 im no expert but the resins are soluble in alcohol so they would not sink to the bottom. you want to look into making oils of your planing on using a solvent. personally i like the look of this method because you dont have to keep buying solvents which will be adding to your overall costs per smoke that nugg looks damn deliciouse too

you should try letting the resin dry completely before you press it, when i have the patience to let it dry cause depending on how much you have, cause it takes like 2 to 4 days to let it dry spread out on wax paper or a plate i wouldn't use cardboard it'll most likely stick to it and you'll get card board in you shit, but after its dry u press it and from experiences doing that, i find it makes it way better

The Gumby way is great, a bit difficult for someone like me that has back and hip issues....But works great, i use a rolling pin to press out the exccess water, i also dont make a ball...just dry it flat .

@makeshifthero555 u take a hose and put the bucket on sumthing that is elevated above ground, put one end of the hose in the bucket and hold the other end so that it is below the bottom of the bucket, while the end of the hose is down there suck on it till the liquid gets to the bottom and starts pouring out,
the main principle of this is that the gravity of the water pouring out pulls the water out of the bucket, since the one end of the hose is lower than the other...

Nice video but I've seen it a few other places here on YouTube. Also, it says right in the beginning that you will not need silkscreens, then the 3rd step tells you to screen it and doesn't say what to use. The 'What You Will Need' part doesn't say anything about a strainer or any type of screen to use it. It's just as cheap to buy a small amount of cheese cloth as it is to get one of those screened strainers they use here. Not tryin to start shit, just commenting.

if u use 32 gal bags can you use excess water from the garbage (trim bag) after all ice has melted and you can squeeze out enough to fill a 5 gal bucket.
@maslabud Nah man, it says at the end he gets 112g, which is pretty good from 750g trim. The general amount of hash that can be made is is about 10-15% of starting product
Bubble bags just make this so much easier and more efficient. There are trichoms suspended in the water being pumped out that the bags will get. Seems to work well enough though.
That's pretty cool, bubble hash without the bags even though it's not as pure. One thing though is idk about using heat and light to dry it. Both degrade THC very quickly and I figure since you don't want to waste anything since you're makin hash why would you aid the degradation of said THC? Better way would be to use the fans but in a cool, dark, dry place and do it there. That way you maintain and preserve potency... also try to store it in a light and air tight container. Enjoy :-)

Nice work!! excellent yield. If you want to increase your yield even more add some dry ice to your ice cream pail of ice. It gets a LOT colder and then more glands break off. That's the method I use. All I ask is that you give credit where credit is due. The dry ice is a secret I've kept when running bubble, It agitates while it bubbles too, and looks pretty trippy. If you do it in your grow room your girls get a nice big blast of CO2. Keep up the Awesome work Gumby

Never can go wrong with the Gumby method. I used this method for years until I finally stopped being cheap and bought some drop bags. Them fuckers are so overpriced, thats why this method is used by a lot of hobbyist growers.

You can walk around town in the winter at 4 pm and smoke and nobody cares because it's dark and cold and they can't be assed to rat out someone for doing something harmless. This method is awesome! To Mrmikeyboy below, you don't get it. The whole point of this method is not extracting the trichomes into the water, it's using water *because* trichomes are hydrophobic, thus the seperation away from the water. Duh
If you can answer I was wondering if the plant matter needs to be completely dry in this method or can it be wet or does it need to be dry and fozen before, you didn't say.
if you sold ONE of those fatty hashballs for $20 a gram and kept the other for yourself you would make $1,080. you can get a set of 5 gallon bubblebags for $50 on ebay. then all you would have to do is pour your original mixture into the bags, saving you at least 6 hours per bucket (time is money) and the best part, multiple grades of hash! this is a legit method for noobs, but considering you reap 750 grams of trim from your WHITE RHINO plants, you are no noob. step into the future.
Awesome. So, if 750g were put into it, and 54g came out, that's 1:14, or was it 750g per bucket, which would be 1:55? I ask because I don't realistically have access to that much weed, so depending on which ratio, I could get either one gram from a half ounce of fresh, or one gram from 2 ounces fresh. Huge difference in price. I have a feeling it was 750 grams total of fresh herb in the video. Also I guess it was trim, so buds would have more resin glands. Anyone?
It was trim in the video, instead of throwing away the leaf which is almost useless he used this method to extract the tricomes ( crystals ) Definitely buds would be better but this way everything is used. I'd like to see someone put 750 grams of dank bud to this method LOL ? That would be Sick !

ima have to be a dick and say that at 9:28 you guys claim that it 15% of resin volume, but I have to disagree. because of the way you process the flower you also have plant matter not just THC resin. This is why is it so dark.
not to mention the more i learn the more i am not a fan of bubble, its water extracted, well thc and almost all of the 60 canabinoids are not water soluble.
go back to weed university if thc were water soluble it would break down in the water then you could not extract the resin heads. the butane kills the taste and it causes cancer
@ xxxdarksidexxx -- I don't think you understand how making bubble hash works. It isn't extracted into the water like when making Isohash and using alcohol as the solvent.
When making bubble hash you are just using the water as a place for the trichomes to fall into.
You are using the ice to freeze the trichomes, and then for 10-15 min using brute force to knock them off into the water (with the screw gun).
When making a solvent type of hash like BHO it is completely different... go learn
the syringe is a good idea but im not sure about the slimmer / taller vase idea because then you cant use the bastor to get all the yummy stuff out. unless of corse its not as tall as the bastor i guess it world work to. good comment. thanks

did you get 54 grams from 750 grams of material? or was it 54 grams per bucket, because 54 out of 750 is not alot.

@maslabud Nah man, it says at the end he gets 112g, which is pretty good from 750g trim. The general amount of hash that can be made is is about 10-15% of starting product

Bubble bags just make this so much easier and more efficient. There are trichoms suspended in the water being pumped out that the bags will get. Seems to work well enough though.

That's pretty cool, bubble hash without the bags even though it's not as pure. One thing though is idk about using heat and light to dry it. Both degrade THC very quickly and I figure since you don't want to waste anything since you're makin hash why would you aid the degradation of said THC? Better way would be to use the fans but in a cool, dark, dry place and do it there. That way you maintain and preserve potency... also try to store it in a light and air tight container. Enjoy :-)

@vespabones: I agree it is a good method and did use but there is a point in the video that seems to be missing, it's the part where what is remaining in the bottom of the jar! is read to be moved to the wax paper, there is a liquid that gets pored in! then the turky baster pulls the hash out, all I wanted to know is what is that liquid aloc! can't be water because it chances color once it's pored in, and I am suprized that no one has asked this before, it is quite obvious.

I just finished a run and got 40 grams, I have a question thought for the person who created the video or someone who knows, at the end when pulling the hash from the jar he used something that is not mentioned at that point from the Jar before poring to the wax paper what was that in the bottle that he pored in the jar??? because there was no mention of what that was?? was it important? please post a reply.

Nice work!! excellent yield. If you want to increase your yield even more add some dry ice to your ice cream pail of ice. It gets a LOT colder and then more glands break off. That's the method I use. All I ask is that you give credit where credit is due. The dry ice is a secret I've kept when running bubble, It agitates while it bubbles too, and looks pretty trippy. If you do it in your grow room your girls get a nice big blast of CO2. Keep up the Awesome work Gumby

It's a pretty well known method dude. Im not trying to be a troll, but dude, c'mon, you did not "invent" the dry ice method. Look it up, it's been used for years with extraction. Be well, be safe.

Never can go wrong with the Gumby method. I used this method for years until I finally stopped being cheap and bought some drop bags. Them fuckers are so overpriced, thats why this method is used by a lot of hobbyist growers.

@sensi42069 you forgot Alaska and West Coast of Canada. I lived up in AK for a year. They don't fuck around up there. You can walk around town in the winter at 4 pm and smoke and nobody cares because it's dark and cold and they can't be assed to rat out someone for doing something harmless. I didn't see any hash up there though, I think Cali takes the cake for hash in the U.S. Hash cake sounds good about now. Peace.

This method is awesome! To Mrmikeyboy below, you don't get it. The whole point of this method is not extracting the trichomes into the water, it's using water *because* trichomes are hydrophobic, thus the seperation away from the water. Duh

if you sold ONE of those fatty hashballs for $20 a gram and kept the other for yourself you would make $1,080. you can get a set of 5 gallon bubblebags for $50 on ebay. then all you would have to do is pour your original mixture into the bags, saving you at least 6 hours per bucket (time is money) and the best part, multiple grades of hash! this is a legit method for noobs, but considering you reap 750 grams of trim from your WHITE RHINO plants, you are no noob. step into the future.

Awesome. So, if 750g were put into it, and 54g came out, that's 1:14, or was it 750g per bucket, which would be 1:55? I ask because I don't realistically have access to that much weed, so depending on which ratio, I could get either one gram from a half ounce of fresh, or one gram from 2 ounces fresh. Huge difference in price. I have a feeling it was 750 grams total of fresh herb in the video. Also I guess it was trim, so buds would have more resin glands. Anyone?

It was trim in the video, instead of throwing away the leaf which is almost useless he used this method to extract the tricomes ( crystals ) Definitely buds would be better but this way everything is used. I'd like to see someone put 750 grams of dank bud to this method LOL ? That would be Sick !

ima have to be a dick and say that at 9:28 you guys claim that it 15% of resin volume, but I have to disagree. because of the way you process the flower you also have plant matter not just THC resin. This is why is it so dark.
not to mention the more i learn the more i am not a fan of bubble, its water extracted, well thc and almost all of the 60 canabinoids are not water soluble.

go back to weed university if thc were water soluble it would break down in the water then you could not extract the resin heads. the butane kills the taste and it causes cancer

@ xxxdarksidexxx -- I don't think you understand how making bubble hash works. It isn't extracted into the water like when making Isohash and using alcohol as the solvent.
When making bubble hash you are just using the water as a place for the trichomes to fall into.
You are using the ice to freeze the trichomes, and then for 10-15 min using brute force to knock them off into the water (with the screw gun).
When making a solvent type of hash like BHO it is completely different... go learn

i think it means first get what you can out.. (as much as possible) Then pour it though it a screen and let it rest for 4 hours or so.
