Bravo! I love your vlog...I will share this one with my students to discuss further...Also, I would like to share with you ... 'Don't be a slave to your past. Let it go.' - Author Unknown
Oooh wow I love your quote! Definitely will USE it! I love it thanks for sharing and I'm glad you love my vlog, please feel free to share with your students, and they can comment here if they'd like. I also would be more than happy to answer some questions if needed. :)
I watched ur vlog. honestly, I couldn't comprehend audism apply to deaf individual, but, yes, I do notice the pattern of behave but label it?! ummm. Why, i look from law perspective, a case law don't recognized "ASL" but individual's native language or other case law don't recognized certificated sign language interpreter as "qualified interpreter." Now, Ill be quite about my view and learn more by see(hear) all sides.
Love your unbiased vlog very much! Spread and educate the meaning, reduce the ugliness of audism. The Milan Convention part, still disgusting about it, using only the speech and not sign language to teach the deaf children. Even still now days, So wrongful method.
Whoo hoo somebody understand it . Very good advice and good job as I am very grateful this vlog. Thank you so much! :) You make my day and thank you for it with the bottom of my heart. ;)
Also, for some of you who said we are doing it in wrong way, remember that if we bow to them and they will walk all over us. We all just need to work together to find the best way.
I do remember watching your vlog the past last year about your experience after you attended a workshop and how empowering it was for you.
About the Milan Convention, I thought I remembered it so I asked my sister (she is deaf and is a teacher) about it and she explained how it went and they established a German Method as standard form of language for us which was beginning of dark age for us.
We really have to change that which we are starting to see it coming slowly.
Great vlog!
