  • Zoroaster's birth as 6000 years before the birth of Christ or 5000 years before the war of Troy or 6000 years before invasion of Greece by Xerex, it is definite that in his third volume Lertius has dropped a zero from the birthday and this error has led to all this chaos in the history. Since we know that Grecian historiographers had access to written Babylonian and Persian calendars, we can rely on their integrity that the prophet was born in 6184 B.C. and died in the year 6107 B.C.

  • @goran21715

no.. Zoroasters birth is between 1800 BC to 1200 BC. The evidence is based on linguistic similarities between old-Iranian avestan and Indo-aryan Vedic sanskrit.

  • i know man..but its 3 parts -did you notice- so all three parts make a looong video...and takes lots of effort to translate :/

  • yes I understand bro.., but from what I hear in this clip, the professor explains jashne nowrooz, jashne mehregan and its history very well.

    Anyways thnx.

  • that true..they explain it in a very nice way..the stuff is very interesting..I bet most people don't know it..

  • yes bro i think that we must also give more attention to mehregan festival.. do some kurds celebrate it or not? In persian community some people celebrate it.

  • I have no idea..but I doubt it...since islam has largely substituted those ancient traditions as u know...may be those in iran are the last true Zaraostrians?

  • yes there are still zoroastrians in Iran celebrate it, also the zoroastrians of Iran that went to western nations celebrate it. But the persian muslims are also celebrating it, not a lot of them, but it is making a comeback.. its important to bring back some of our lost traditions, its possible. I hope that the kurdish minister of culture support this kind of movements.

  • The Kurdish Governmnet (KRG) is very open minded and are strongly pro old traditions...the ministry of "islamic affairs" have been changed to ministry of "religious affairs" :) that includes all religions and beliefs..

  • yes.. thats very good,.. from the beginning arabism/islamism has tried to remove our cultures, traditions.

  • unfortunately, thats true

  • @iranium2008 im with u for that

  • @iranium2008 no 1 can stop us from celebrating Rewroz and no 1 can take away from us our culture. Aryans 4 life biji Kurd u Fars
