My old motorola did the same thing, it happens when you type in the wrong security code too many times (girlfriend was trying to check up on me) I called motorola and they gave me the code. Hope that will help ya!

You probably have a sprint. This will not work for sprint. Instead, press ##789#,then press down (to highlight option 2) and press "OK". This will reset the password. Warning - Use at your own risk as it will sometime delete contact numbers along with password stored on phone.

nczplayah32 - You'll need to search for the phone tools & phone software updater, download both, install both, run updater in the background, launch phone tool, and select hex edit from the menu. You'll see a bunch of numbers and letters and you probably won't know what it means, but change the code, located in the second box, on the right screen, from "2039" to "5500" then the screen on the left will show you the Master Lock Code. It's a six digit code. Good luck.

No offense intended but this isn't as "general" as you think since what is being shown is not a master code. That is simply a security as it is named and just like the unlock code it can be changed to w/e the owner wants it to be. So if you found a phone of a competent individual who changed both password this doesn't help as much as you would think.

The purpose of this unlock master code is LEST SAY YOU FIND/Buy a phone from someone.. (2nd hand...) and it asks for the phones unlock code. The owner of the phone could of changed it to 7757 and u dont even know it. so all you have to do is press the - which enables the master code and enter 000000 (0 6 times) and it unlocks the phones UNLOCK Code

on the razr or im guessing any moto phone.. U press the - at the top in the middle of the phone.. (- is the button u use to enter your menu/options)well when u pressn that button when it asks you for ur 4 digit code. keep pressing it until the line gets bigger and ull have to enter a 6 digit code instead.. thats the master code number and u cnt change it.. therefore when it asks u to enter 6 digits enter 000000 (6 zeros) then voila it should unlock!
