@sunlei5. I don't know what your problem is but I'm pretty sure it's hard to pronounce. Also, I'd like to see things from your point of view but I just can't get my head that far up my ass.

Montana you have a bad rep as a horse slaughter state. Your state kills the most horses in america by sending them to canadian slaughter for people who like worm cyst, steriod filled, sick, disesed horse meat to eat. Your ranches are responsable for horse over population by over breeding. way to many horses. Montana breeds horses just so they can send them to slaughter. sickening!!
Montana - HORSE KILLER STATE your lake water runs red with slaughterhouse blood. You gave us madcow, now what?
WTF are you talking about I have lived in this state my whole life and I have never heard of us slaughtering horses for Canada. Your a MORON who is probably from california which has the highest murder rate in the U.S. I would be more worried about people dying than a few horses.
@MTProud And people still say diversity is good for us. Isn't it ironic that in the most "diverse" areas of the country you can't walk the streets safely at night without a gun?
The semipermanent snow in Rocky Mountain National Park visible from Cheyenne would be as big as some of our neighborhoods in Cheyenne I would bet. The same patches of snow are still there in about the same shapes as in July 1987 but my photographs I took are gone due to a vicious person. One particular patch of snow is shaped like Australia without the northern hornshaped areas.
We used to LOVE the Duck, but when it sold last year the new owners scrapped the food menu and hiked all the drink prices... I liked it better before :-( But we still go by for a beer now and then.
I viseited this lake about a week ago. I love it. I love to go boating out there. But I live in Oregon. I still take pride in my lakes and rivers here.
I was at Flathead Lake when I was 7. How deep is the water in this reservoir exactly??? You know, lots of snow is still on the peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, 74 miles southwest of Cheyenne, today, on June 21, 2008. Most of it will be there all summer. I just saw it from the hill on 13th Street. =) :)
Neat!!! I once read a tourist postcard book/thing that had Flathead Lake described as a high altitude reservoir or impoundment but I think that maybe they just meant that it stores water, even if naturally, as it flows from the mountains to the Pacific. Gee, 368 feet would swallow up some of Denver's 1960s and early 1970s skyscrapers.
I cant agree or disagree but we are visiting from the UK in September and I am sure that we will not want to leave.
I am guessing that you are a local so maybe you can help me out . . . I am wanting to book a boat trip on Sept 26th but cannot find any info about dates on any websites. Please don't tell me Flathead closes in the Autumn!
There are a number of companies that offer boat rides on Flathead. Most are open in the Autumn. You shouldn't have a problem seeing this beautiful lake the way it needs to be experienced... floating on it!
Oregon is better, anyway. I have lived in both - Oregon is like Montana, but with an Ocean and a high desert. Plus, there are more things to do in Oregon.
Flathead Lake is awesome. Anyone who discovers it falls in love.
