what the hell. specs 22 is right. you don't need a 15 dollar biner to attach your shoes to your backpack. also, basically what you are saying in this video is that you only Hms and steel biners for climbing and that everything else you just use for accesorries. you are not a climber are you?

One tip we got given for locking gate karabiners is to tighten them up to just about the point where it starts to go stiff (so tight but not too tight) and then do a half turn to loosen it... Just to prevent locking.
