I noticed you have the same problem I do, which is when you drill the holes some of the wood splinters off. really annoying because it's usually the only time it happens and seem nearly impossible to avoid.

you thought at all about making one that uses an escapement, or similar mechanism, to directly allow only one slot at a time to fire? I myself made one with an escapement, not too long ago, out of aluminum. (unfortunately, a few errors with a Dremel messed up a few of the spokes XD)
