I think Loveless sounds great, but I read an article online, about their drummer not being around for Loveless. Somehow they made it work, with drum tracks they already had, & some programmed beats. Anyways, a remix of Loveless might sound interesting, but it wouldn't be the same, especially if there were drastic changes. M.B.V.'s known for their unique sound, & I've grown to like it. It would be interesting to hear, but I'd rather hear new songs. B.t.w, I agree that Belinda still looks great.
I really loved this band. And this is obviously a poor recordng. However, I saw them at what was being called the New Ritz in the nineties (old Studio 54), and this is pretty much how it sounded there. The vocals are supposed to be somewhat buried, but they were non existent. I was an avid fan of the band, and I couldn't tell one song from another. They should have been able to clear up the mix a bit in spite of their signature sea of sound.
I love this short clip - Bilinda maintains such poise & calm as she sings & only looks down just before she starts playing guitar - only to unleash 100 demons from Hades as she plays, but still keeping her air of serenity.
the thing about bilinda is that she plays these really hardcore songs with such calm and like being elsewhere but it fits. shes got the most beautiful face too
Charvel used to make "premium" guitars way back, mostly in the style of strats I think. The company was bought out by Fender quite some time ago, and I believe is more of a "boutique" operation now. I'm not familiar with the surfcaster though.
On a different note, I would really like to see G&L make a Jazzmaster type guitar. G&L is the company Leo Fender (founder of Fender) and George Fullerton started in the 80s. I've never played a better guitar than a G&L. (No, I don't work for G&L)
bilinda jayne butcher is the beautiest girl in the modern history of rock and she is more beauty, sexy , hot and cute than pink , aguilera, hilary duff, mariah carey and all the other pop's sluts togheter. i love you Bilinda
Yeah, plus music seemed to me much more real than stuff coming out from these fake divas today. All those people you mention (maybe with the exception of Pink) rely on their looks to sell their music. Band like MBV relied on the music.
Yep, substance is good because that is what I hear when I listen to a record. I remember the days before the Internet when you use to listen to music to take you away to another world. In order to watch videos you watch MTV before they sold out. You know, when they had shows like 120 Minutes that would play great bands like this. Indie music for me is still better than any stuff you hear in the mainstream. But, like REM, MBV is a successful indie band.
I find it incredible how this group has touched masses of people of all walks of life. And the way it reconnects them to their past. I discovered them back when they began to gain popularity in the late '80's but I so damn young, 12 to be exact. Now after careers and ex-wives, ect. they manage to re conquer you and take through new places as an adult. It is such a gift to be born in the late 20th century.
Bilinda Bilinda Bilinda Bilinda Bilinda... My true love. She's so INCREDIBLY sweet and graceful, it's unreal... I've seen the Valentines in London (this very show), yesterday I was at their Paris gig and I'm growing a Valentine addict this year : once you've seen the Valentines live, you just end up wanting more.
Mind you, her forename is actually BIlinda and NOT BElinda, for the registry office as well. Go and get some info, inside the records booklets for a start.

I think she is using a Charvel Surfcaster in this video. Yea, she usually uses a jaguar or a jazzmaster.

Yea. I find substance as (if not, more) attractive a characteristic as looks. Belinda has both.
