Something fishy about that.(no pun intended).....he tosses in a bucktail jig......apparently gets a tarpon on it, but when the fish jumps out of the water by the piling......look closely....it looks like a live bait slides up the line and as the fish goes around the piling the line hits the piling and the "bait" flies off.........sure didn't look like the fish was on the rod he was using.....hardly any action on that rod.....for a 100lb tarpon....LOL

Also, I think why the rod isn't moving much is because that's no where near a hundred pound tarpon, that's maybe 25-30 pounds. Also, that's a pretty big, strong fishing pole, that's used for those big tarpon, unlike the one he caught.

I hope you can give me a little advice. I have only been out on headboats in the past, This year however, I bought my own rod and reel through penn for my vacation at the end of this week in Myrtle, I just had 80lb test put on. Here is my question, If I top water fish from one of the piers what type and size of sinker or hook do I need, and would i have to use a bobber? and If I top water fish from a headboat would the sinker size and set-up be the same..
