@edcs13 Ocean & FUNi collaberated with each other up untill they split in 98. Infact some of them were script writers on the Original FUNi dub versions of the Freeza Saga up to Android Saga. FUNi contracted Ocean to do Z not Cartoon Network. FUNi was small time and had no voice cast. So they sublicensed it to other companies to make the first English dub which was voiced by Ocean Group.

@Tairaa91 The voices no longer match the characters. Vegeta's ocean dub voice suited him when he was a true villian, same with piccolo. As the characters grew the Funimation dub suited them better. Funny thing is that I actually hated the Funimation dub at first.

That and Ocean dub went bankrupt back in the day, so they couldn't hire new voice actors that were good when the series introduced new characters.

The voice acting in Ocean dub is pretty good.... EXCEPT GOKU. Goku sounds pretty terrible. He can't even sound excited, or else his voice'll crack and he'll sound like a teenager (as heard at 1:44). Again, I like Ocean Dub, but not Goku's voice.
