  • I LIKE IKE!!!!!

  • Who doesn't like Ike?

  • The last sane Republican President that American may ever have

  • @ACulturalRevolution The last Republican President America has had, period.

  • o and you guys are aware that someone with Eisenhowers political views would be a Democrat or Indipendent in Modern times he'd be run out of the Republican party by their base its sad but thats how far the GOP has degenerated.

  • Back when Republicans were sane and moderate.

  • Ike reminds me of Ron Paul haha RON PAUL 2012!

  • Great Ad, not an attack ad like we have now

  • lol It's funny to "Like" this video... I Like Ike... I'm gonna go Like Ike on Facebook hahaha

  • We don't want Nancy, Harry, or Barack!

  • WORDS AFTER MY OWN HEART. it will be interesting to see some of these damocrats jump ship and change their thoughts (although it's too late) it'll simply be a game they play unless we truly have a man/woman come forth and continue to proclaim the free enterprise and capitalism.

  • Seeing positive ads like this makes me feel good as an american.

  • I STILL LIKE IKE!

  • @poodfeets i dont. He never stood up to Mcarthy in the 50s. Heck, he probably supported the witchhunts against liberals and queers and egghead liberals (that's where the latter term originated, btw)... so yea, except for this catchy jingo, and his service in WWII, I dont much like Ike....

  • Was "Ike" a good president?

  • Comment removed

  • I think so. Truman and FDR were better but out of all the presidents who served frome Ike to Obama, Ike in my opinion is the best.

  • Ike was no Reagan, but he did a fairly good job I would say. Ike did more for Civil Rights then the two Democrat presidents preceding him, in which they did basically nothing. Ron Paul's foreign policy views are similar to Eisenhower's for the most part. Most fervent anti-Communist President until Reagan. Ike even endorsed Reagan for Governor of California in his first election. He died before his second election though.

  • Reagan would be would be proclaiming "Tear down that entitlement mr. obama" . wish we had him here with us still. I'll be watching ron paul. heard good things about him so far.

  • @JMMoosey Ike was better than Reagan.

  • @MsZeitgeist85 I don't know about that but Ike was a great president.

  • @MsZeitgeist85 yeah one created and escalated the cold war and one ended it. brilliant fucking comparison. retarded conclusion.

  • @mysticx0 Reagan did not end the cold war. His 5 predecessors did more to bring down the USSR than that SDI boodoggle did.

  • I like how they show him with a HUGE forehead

  • He-he, Truman's a donkey.

  • Propaganda, don't you just love it?

  • spooky symbolism - see the donkey walking in the opposite direction in the shadows? republicans mind-fuck you.

  • The characters look like something out of Dr.Suess.Political ad from 56 yrs ago.I can't wait till we elect Barack Obama!

  • IKE '08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why does Uncle Sam have a mouth deformity?

I think it is funny that the three donkeys look like they are up to no good...

Reps. need to view the Dems. as asses...most of them are...pure asses...who do not care for the best interests of their country...how do I know? They are going to vote for a Socialist for President in 2008...most...not all...

  • Cool! "I Like Ike" was a line used by Harrison Ford in the new Indiana Jones film. I guess I know where it come from now! :)

  • Now is the time for all good Americans to vote for John McCain...

  • I wonder if John McCain has a catchy political ad song?

  • obama all the way ^.^

  • Damn, that song is catchy!

  • A true classic - way better than any political ads on today.

  • Boy did we take him to Washington in a landslide.

  • No, the difference is liberals make it so you have the CHOICE in whether you want to believe in God or not. That's what liberals are for CHOICE and not being told what to do and who to be. I guess some people like having their every step planned for them... oh yeah and you're from Texas, against abortion yet no quarrel to taking the life of a grown man or women who may or may not of done a crime... I guess when the baby grows up its okay to abort them from this plant.

  • You're full of prejudice and ignorance.

  • Go suck on JaggerNorton's idiocy . Retard.

  • Real classic Republican answer, oozes of stupidity.

  • "You're defending JaggerNorton...that's the example of an idiot."

  • six months later, how do you like being force fed your life and your great grandchildrens by obama. evidently the republicans saw this socialist coming way before the damaocrats. the prerequisite to being a damocrat is political naivete.

  • for some reason this reminds me of the cartoon version of how the grinch stole christmas.

like at the end of grinch where they sing around the big x-mas tree

  • That picture of Eisenhower looks kind f like McCain...

  • Along with Gerry Ford, Ike represents the last of the Republican moderates. Ike consistently scores in the top 10 of the greatest US presidents.

  • Ya, he was a great inspiration, a great General, and a great President, God Bless him and his family.

  • If I was alive back then, I'D VOTE

  • this was the first political campaign to appear on television :)

  • we should bomb mecca

  • The Republicans got the best commercials; Ike, Nixon and Reagan

  • Not true. Kennedy got a pretty sweet commercial.

  • mccain for president, mccain for president, mccain for president.

  • Your Right McCain for president. To me McCain is a modern Ike.

  • i understand the hillary would be the first woman pressident, and barrack would be the first african-american, and those would be historic moments, but what americans need is a republican, and wise and experianced man like McCain. I am an elephant and i am proud of it.

  • McCain is not wise

  • A pity they don't make political ads like this anymore, one of America's Heroes - President, General of Armies, Supreme Commander D-Day, and Kansas farm boy .. rest in peace Mr. President and Mamie.

  • Agreed. The world is so serious nowadays...we need more commercials like this.

  • Doubly agreed. While I'm at it, we need more tv shows like "What's my line" to foster unseriousness.

  • >:-(3

  • Eh...

I think Marth or Roy would be a better presedent...

    :3

  • But, Ike fights for his friends. :O

  • Any Roy's our Boy...

  • Now this IS classic Americana. I love the fact that Harrison Ford mentions this slogan in Indiana Jones 4.

  • lol i bet he got that elephant as a joke

  • i still dont understand, who is ike? is it eisenhower? why do they call him ike?

  • ike is his nick name thats just his nice name

  • We like ike! We like ike! I like Ike......of fire Emblem :P

  • Vote for Ike! Eh fights for his friends and doesn't afraid of anything.

  • reminds me of Fire Emblem Ike

  • I like Ike!

    Oh lord.. it got me..

  • The Walt Disney Studio did animate this famous spot, 'mowm'...

  • I wish todays candidates would use ads like this, It's very cute and catchy.

  • add should be like that today...very effective...but of couarse people today are smarter than just to look at an commercial add....we don't need all those negative hurtful adds...they just make everything more comfusing...things are waaay too complex nowadays.

  • Kinda thought it had a Disney look to it. Too bad they didn't draw Nixon......

  • I like the cartoon Ike better than the real one. Too bad Bugs Bunny did not show up : )

  • very fun and effective ad

  • With an ad like that, it's no wonder why he won the election!

  • He was the third in a streak of 4 great US Presidents. FDR, Truman, Ike, Kennedy.

  • Truman, contrary to your belief as a great president, had a lower poll rating among the American people than Nixon or W. Bush.

  • Poll ratings don't rate greatness.

  • Indeed. We haven't had a REALLY good president since Reagan, But before him we had lots of greats such as Ike.

  • i like ike

  • I wish political commercials were this fun now. I can't stand modern ones.

  • I fully agree. All commercials, regular and political back then had catchy jingles and got right to the point!

  • This is historical moment in TV as it is one of the first campaign commercials ever. And its so nostalgic and catchy.
