You have no idea how many mac fanatics tell me that the mac is immune from viruses. I disagree. Even Linux gets viruses, OSX is no different and no excuse. Like the review in this video says, it's a matter of the virus authors targetting the masses.
@livetechaustralia Would Norton Internet Security for Mac or Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac be a better buy? I'm looking to buy one soon. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks!
@Tekhelet75 Well to be honest with you, we have never tested out Kaspersky for Mac so we cant vouch for them. But as you obviously know we have used Norton and are loving it so far. Personally I would stick with Norton.
@yabanize No, they are not harder to write. C++ is able to compile on both Sys32 and Unix systems. And great, very limited virus exposure. How's about Phishing? Google hacking OS X, see all the people that get total remote control of OS X. How's about protecting your social networking sites? And no, it doesn't detect viruses. Just OS X doesn't let applications mess with the OS as much as Windows. They are on your computer, and they evolve while on your computer, they just can't do anything.
