When you're trying to get something to focus, get it close to the camera and put your hand right behind it and try to make sure that your hand and the product are the only thing in focus, not everything else because then the camera is trying to focus everything at the same time.

@OhMyGodItsTheKnight its O.K. if nail polishes at the store have a sort of orange color almost like an oil that is the top maybe goes like 1 1/2 inches down from the top of the inside of the bottle. Its just because you have to re-mix the stuff the nail polish is made with just by shaking it the bottle up. If thats what you meant by flaky and gross :]]
