A teacher in Ohio was fired for not removing his Bible from his desk. Bible studies were banned on playgrounds, not during class, in one school. A kindergartner was not allowed to bring his Bible to show and tell, and another child was banned from reading it in his first grade class. Certain verses were even banned in the state of Colorado.

EVEN TO THE POINT of one not accepting our beliefs. True Christianity is unconditional love. Don't just settle with the stereotypical labels that the world puts on us. Also, "separation of church and state" was meant to protect the church from the government, not the other way around. This way, the government could not pass legislation to say that the church has to do something it finds wrong.
This "Lemon Test" is also unconstitutional, I believe, as it does impose upon the true meaning of "separation of church and state". Remember, just because the government says it doesn't make it right.

Students just want the privilege of not having their religious piece treated as though it was a deadly weapon. A teacher in Ohio was fired for not removing his Bible from his desk. Bible studies were banned on playgrounds, not during class, in one school. A kindergartner was not allowed to bring his Bible to show and tell, and another child was banned from reading it in his first grade class. Certain verses were even banned in the state of Colorado.

the implication is you are correctly interpreting another man's statements -an "I know he is wrong" attitude. Look up the root of secular..."the present world". The constitution doesn't change, only the secular interpretation of it. Secular can include religion, and vise-versa depending on your color of the cloth. Also, the root of religion - various meanings like supernatural constraint. The problem is, everyone has their own definitions of the words. My use of "bad" may mean "good".

Freedom of religion doesn't mean freedom from religion. Thats why the supreme Court has never once said that. No ruling has ever established your claim. You just pull it out of your ass with out an ounce of evidence of your claim.

Exactly. What you do in private is your business. The second your religion leaves your privacy and enters mine, it is interfering with MY 'freedom of religion'.
This really seems like a semantic point to me.
If I defined my 'religion' as something which would be functionally indistinguishable from 'a complete lack of religion', then explain to me the FUNCTIONAL difference between "freedom of" and "freedom from" religion, because I just don't see it.

That is an amazingly good article - one of the very best I've read to sum it all up.
The one thing that I have found in these debates is that the christian element that I've encountered don't think twice about lying and twisting history. I've also found them extremlely likely to be verbally abusive. In my mail box is one that simply said, "die" and more and more, I'm finding this typical of the more fervent of believers.
