  • Benjamin Rush:

    • “I lament that we waste so much time and money in punishing crimes and take so little pains to prevent them…we neglect the only means of establishing and perpetuating our republican forms of government; that is, the universal education of our youth in the principles of Christianity by means of the Bible; for this Divine Book, above all others, constitutes the soul of republicanism.”

  • Thomas Paine:

“ It has been the error of the schools to teach astronomy, and all the other sciences, and subjects of natural philosophy, as accomplishments only; whereas they should be taught theologically, or with reference to the Being who is the author of them: for all the principles of science are of divine origin

  • At the Constitutional Convention of 1787, James Madison proposed the plan to divide the central government into three branches. He discovered this model of government from the Perfect Governor, as he read Isaiah 33:22;

“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver,

    the LORD is our king;

    He will save us.”

James McHenry – Signer of the Constitution

Public utility pleads most forcibly for the general distribution of the Holy Scriptures.

  • Thomas Jefferson:

“ The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend to all the happiness of man.”

    James Madison

“ We’ve staked our future on our ability to follow the Ten Commandments with all of our heart.”

    Patrick Henry:

    "Orator of the Revolution."

    • This is all the inheritance I can give my dear family. The religion of Christ can give them one which will make them rich indeed.”

—The Last Will and Testament of Patrick Henry

  • Benjamin Franklin: | Portrait of Ben Franklin

“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel

Samuel Adams: | Portrait of Sam Adams | Powerpoint presentation on John, John Quincy, and Sam Adams

“ He who made all men hath made the truths necessary to human happiness obvious to all… Our forefathers opened the Bible to all.” [ "American Independence," August 1, 1776. Speech delivered at the State House in Philadelphia]

  • I hope you know i was talking to @thalonen when i say get your meds, because I agree with everything you ! say.

  • What about freedom of speech? It's the same old story, accept something from the government and they "own you." Maybe churches should pay taxes and become free to say what they want.

  • CONGRESS ! What Congress ? Are you trying to tell us that WE have a Congress that actually working 4 us ? As I remember WE AS AMERICANS never wanted to go to any war & as I understand that only Congress can decide if we can go to war or not and I don't remember One single war was rejected by our BELOVED CONGRESS !

Roday,we have Iraq ,Afghanistan ,Pakistan ,Somalia & Yemen ........

  • Truth = what is

Belief = what we use in the absence of truth.

Dogma = the acceptance of belief, as truth.

To knowingly preach dogma = a lie.

Revisionist history is the pathway to dogma. It is everywhere in American politics. It is taught in our schools, preached in the halls of congress. Nothing more than contrived ignorance.

  • Meth is a horrible drug.Get help!

  • religion is pure evil and teach nothing but hate.

  • Zen Buddhism

  • religion is pure evil for those who cant reach its essence.

  • @albus23 I am anti-religion but honestly not all religions the same messages and commads,in fact, some calling for love & peace and some calling for hate & kill, don't try to put all free birds in the same cage,if you have no any knowledge about the differences then you need to read,BTW,I'm still an Atheist

  • @albus23 I agree. Christianity, however, teaches where the boundary lines of love and hate are in our attitudes, our character and our intentions and how to act on love towards others. EVEN TO THE POINT of one not accepting our beliefs. True Christianity is unconditional love. Don't just settle with the stereotypical labels that the world puts on us. Choosing to follow Christ, we then hold other Christians (or those of curoiusity in the faith) to the standards of biblical living. That isn't hate

  • @albus23 Agreed!

  • Why would anyone want to be a witch (Wicca)?

Even the devil hates witches and warlocks...but then again he hates every single soul in the Universe except himself. He is scared to death of Jesus Christ and the final judgement.

  • Yeah. It's too bad he's more powerful than God :(

  • The devil is a loser.

He lost once and for all when Jesus gave His life for humanity.

  • @thalonen

You seam to have forgotten you meds again you nut bar .

  • @adlerbr12 ooops.

  • @adlerbr12 I don't remember what rabbit ape is talking about, but I just want to say that those who haven't tried talking to Jesus Christ are missing out BIG TIME. I met Him for the first time in -75. For the last 2 years I have had a supernatural joy, nothing in the whole world can make me sad!!! It's a miracle. Besides I get to have supernatural encounters a lot of the time, and even heal people through prayer, it's sooo exciting! Wohooo!

  • RabidApe - Thank you for posting this video. I get so tired of people saying that the US was founded as a Christian nation. It wasn't. It was founded upon economic and humanist ideas.

  • Hi, I'm from England. Can you tell me if HR 888 was passed?

  • Comment removed

  • AGAIN, YOU MISS THE POINT, THis is NOT about RELIGION!

  • NERD!!!!!!

  • It is obvious that you have studied anything except religion. Additionally, God did not ask us to have religion, but to have relationship with him ! I would suggest that you try establishing a relationship with him.

  • You are completely correct.

Also, "separation of church and state" was meant to protect the church from the government, not the other way around. This way, the government could not pass legislation to say that the church has to do something it finds wrong.

This "Lemon Test" is also unconstitutional, I believe, as it does impose upon the true meaning of "separation of church and state". Remember, just because the government says it doesn't make it right.

  • What part of SEPARATION of CHURCH & STATE do you fundies FAIL to understand. Granted...I'll defend your right to POUND on a Bible until U R blue in the face, but if U try shoving your beliefs down my throat or foisting them on us involuntarily through force of law WE HAVE A PROBLEM...I can state SEVERAL fundie backed laws that are UNCONSTITUTIONAL and CITE the parts of the Constitution they violate....

  • Your wisdom exceeds all bounds. You are truly a chosen one among us. I would expect a person of such high intelligence as yourself to have written many books, taught many pupils, established trusts and grants in your name for the sake of all humanity. Ah, but I guess, as you will point out, wrong again.

  • watch?v=V3y3QoFnqZc

  • lol, finally common ground. I believe in Love, too

  • why have we lost so many more astronauts during the space shuttle program than the Apollo program of the '60s? Regression. Why is our nation leading the world in economic chaos? Regression. Why is our infrastructure in such bad repair? Regression. Undeniably true, the world civilizations are in a state of decline. It is not reversible. Say your prayers. Lights out.

  • If you compare the dozens of launches done during the Apollo program (which lost 3 astronauts) to the hundreds done by the Shuttle program (which has lost 14), you'd realize you were full of shit.

    Sorry.

I didn't even have to look that up.

    FAIL AGAIN.

  • What a shame our country ranks near the bottom in every field of education these days. In fact, we're dropping rank in progressive fields and gaining rank in regressive ones compared to other developed nations. Could we be doing something wrong?

  • LOL!

    Funny you mention that.

The US is curious in it's high level of religiosity amongst developed nations.

Look up data on acceptance of evolution. I think we come out just ahead of Turkey.

    Way down the list.....

The most "moral" nations are arguably the most "atheistic" ones.

    hmmm......

  • We're waning. Every great civilization eventually decays from within due to decadence and overall moral decline.

  • Yup !!! Thats why China is on the rise, while we are on the fall. Pop culture is the sess pool of no values. We put more emphasis on sex, money and success, but without maturity in the mix, it's a losing battle. Christians look to a non existent God to solve their problems while Athiests look to themselfs to solve their problems. When we as logical and rational people need to work together to fix todays problems. Not the government, but it's citisens.

  • God created science :~)

  • Says you.

I say man created the concept of God.

  • for starters: not a law, but worse!

CNN June 19, 2000 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that prayer does not belong in public schools, even if students initiate and lead the prayers.

"... such religious activity in public schools, as elsewhere, must comport with the First Amendment," Justice John Paul Stevens

  • "even if students initiate and lead the prayers. "

I think the distinction there would be if it is "compulsory" or not.

If people want to get together and pray before a football game, that's fine - THEY CAN. It doesn't need we need to get the whole paid-for-with-public-money-stadium involved.

I participated in Bible study in my public high school cafeteria - but I did it BEFORE CLASS!

Nobody tried to stop us. And they shouldn't have - we were on our own time.

  • Nobody is trying to bring their Bibles in to class with them, nor do they want to stand up and lead the class in a hymn. Students just want the privilege of not having their religious piece treated as though it was a deadly weapon. So they can have a *gasp* Bible in their locker, or wear a cross around their neck without the teacher giving them detention, suspension, and expulsion.

  • "So they can have a *gasp* Bible in their locker, or wear a cross around their neck without the teacher giving them detention, suspension, and expulsion."

Can you name one school where this happens? It certainly didn't happen in MINE.

Nobody is trying to take away your freedom of religion.

  • A teacher in Ohio was fired for not removing his Bible from his desk. Bible studies were banned on playgrounds, not during class, in one school. A kindergartner was not allowed to bring his Bible to show and tell, and another child was banned from reading it in his first grade class. Certain verses were even banned in the state of Colorado.

I had hunted down all the links for these, but I accidentally pressed the back button and this comment isn't important enough for me to go find them again

  • Without any more details, all I can say is that these seem like isolated incidents of people misunderstanding our policy.

Depending on the details - which I don't have - I probably would oppose what happened in these instances. And I see you backpedaled from your original (presumably exaggerated) statement.

    Lying for Jesus ftw!

  • @RabidApe What's ftw ?

  • Ace In several states around American. Many Muslims have been appeased by Univercities, colleges etc by having a room just for themselves to pray and also wash their feet, a religious event. But the plaques in the US post office that read. In God We Trust have been taken down by order of law

  • "A teacher in Ohio was fired for not removing his Bible from his desk"

Which leads me to ask WHY did he NEED to have a bible in his desk in the first place. Can he not read it at home? As far as the "show and tell" story, exactly why is the bible necessary for that. No one says that you cannot read your bible - JUST DO IT AT HOME. School is for education, NOT religion,.

  • People with books are dangerous, why not throw every person with a book in jail?

    The Bible is great education.

  • "The bible is great education"

For what???? Are you also interested in the illiad and the Odessy? Or do you even know what they are. It's ancient history, thal. Unless you are interested in that, it is of no value.

  • certainly removing prayer from school failed the "Lemon Test" on all counts. There was never a law allowing it (passed lemon test), only a law prohibiting it (failed lemon test). Even an Atheist prays that religion would vanish from the earth (by definition - prayer: an earnest request or wish)

  • "removing prayer from school "

    ::facepalm::

There is no law that says a student cannot pray on there own time. I don't care if someone wants to pray to themselves before an exam.

    Try again.

  • "Even an Atheist prays that religion would vanish from the earth (by definition - prayer: an earnest request or wish) "

    W00t!

    Fallacy of equivocation FTW!!

What are you gonna do next, call science a religion?

    fail.

  • the implication is you are correctly interpreting another man's statements -an "I know he is wrong" attitude. Look up the root of secular..."the present world". The constitution doesn't change, only the secular interpretation of it. Secular can include religion, and vise-versa depending on your color of the cloth. Also, the root of religion - various meanings like supernatural constraint. The problem is, everyone has their own definitions of the words. My use of "bad" may mean "good".

  • huh?

  • where did those billions upon billions of galaxies come from? How does our brain remember things? What happens to us after we die? How long will this religion debate go on? Obviously, we know very little when we think we have all the answers. That is a plain truth.

  • "we think we have all the answers."

    Did I ever say that?

  • We have religion class here in Sweden in all schools primary and secondary, precisely in the fashion that Dennet proposes.

  • pretty soon there's gonna b restaurants and other establishments that are "strictly Christian" and "Strictly Atheist"....oh, grand day....

  • Sounds right to me. Just remember Waco. Those poor folks got their religion mixed in with the "state" in a very nasty way. They were mostly killed by Christians working for the "state".

  • Thanks for the post R.A. Do you know the outcome of this resolution? Or where I could find out how the votes were cast?

  • re-post:It's really pointless to argue with believers. They are having a collective hallucination, and are locked with in a prison, built brick by brick by daily prayer. Faith will not allow its certainty to be undermined. They are technically mad. And as such are prone to violence when their delusion is threatened.

  • @chlolpavo "nuff said" that comment just undermined anything you have to say. Thats why I say faith is anti-intellectual, anti-human and anti-God. You close off everything over a story book!

  • what about charles darwin's theory of evolution all need to know that it is fact

  • darwin disproved his theories at the end of his life and told scientists to abandon them because they were false.

  • "darwin disproved his theories at the end of his life and told scientists to abandon them because they were false"

O RLY? Can you provide a verifiable reference, or should we just take your word for it?

  • go ahead and research it. its out there in valid text books and websites. if youre so adimate that im wrong you should look up the information for your self.

  • how did he disprove it it can be seen in all life it is Biology.

it is not god it is Biology

  • wrong. evolution is not biology, its a theory with plenty of holes in it.

  • unlike the bible..... where a old bloke got 2 of every animale because a flood was comin

but did that inclued fish ??

  • fish live in the ocean smart one, im pretty sure they did just fine outside of a boat without any water in it.

  • yep makes u think m8

    :)

  • did not say that!!!

but why all the other animals without gills get it bad well the duck will have it good becouse they can sit on the water :)

  • lol your comments are ridiculous so ljust know this is the last one im responding to. ducks dont live on the water dude.

  • "fish live in the ocean"

Not ALL fish. The ones living in rivers, streams, and lakes would be killed as the ocean water mixed with the fresh.

"the bibles right and youre wrong"

That's a bold statement. Prove it. What, prey tell, new evidence do YOU have that historians and archaeologists have been searching for in the last 2000 years but have missed? Since you *know*, then maybe YOU should be teaching college history. After all, you MUST have evidence no one else has seen.

  • Let the Church teach their Religion not schools... (I'm a proud Christian)

Note: Keep an eye on "The religion of peace" though... (In our Country)

  • Lots of respect! In the Netherlands we have about the same problem: christian extremists form the goverment and state and church are not seperated any more!

  • hi rabidApe i would just like to tell you that before i moved to canada from holland

i was tought about religion in school

even though it was only twice a week

i now understand that religion is bs

  • Well that is why they don't want to do it... If you taught religion properly to kids they would all be atheists and that would mean all the Church and Mosks and so forth would be out of business.

  • great video!

  • one of the resolutions is:

    (3) rejects, in the strongest possible terms, any effort to remove, obscure, or purposely omit such history from our Nation's public buildings and educational resources;

wanna bet these r the same assholes that would work their asses off to make the theory of evolution illegal?

  • Right on with that one! These are the same f-Tards who gave us DOMA and Prop8 ...and now they are foaming at the mouth as the likelihood that these "cherished" fundie laws will be tossed by SCOTUS for violating the 1st, 5th, and 14th amendments to the US Constitution

  • i could see how some wouldnt want to vote agaist this.

cleary proves my hypothesis that the christians ARE IN FACT trying to take over.

  • "Your a bald mother fuck who can fit 600 dicks in his mouth at the same time!!!!!!"

Wow... Did you come up with that one allllllll by yourself?

  • Thank you for sharing your personal experiences with us Zoom. However I believe you're in the wrong channel to discuss such exotic experiences as the community here would find such example of your experiences some what "foreign".

  • i feel slightly alienated at the fact that any respectable person could only be able to say this so passionately (with 6 exclamation marks)had they seen or partaken in this...record breaking event...

have a nice day and dont skip school this time :)

  • humans.. but you believe you came from the planet of the apes i thought... you know, just like the movie and its REMAKE... so dont you mean fellow Monkeys in your case? or zoo, like the zoo.. you know since you think we evolved from something that still exists as an ape... if we did evolve, we wouldnt know what we evolved from because its STILL AROUND FOR US TO SEE!!!!! WAKE UP!!!

  • Perhaps looking at people like you gives us the evidence we evolved. What the bloody hell are you blabbering about? Even if it is a reply to something, how in your little hollow head did what you write make any sense? I believe in evolution, because i have hope that people won't always be as utterly imbecilic as you. -ObsidianxAlice

Besides, if you're saying what we evolved from is still around to see: You're wrong. The evidence says apes are our cousins, not ancestors. Do some research.

  • so your cousins with an ape.. MHHH so we are the only "Species" in your terms, that can Build civilization as Complex and Intelligent as we do.. look at New York, or any Settlement in the World.. then go to Great Adventure and look at your "Cousins" MHHHHHH... doesnt addd up.. im Going with the Bible..

  • "doesnt addd up.. im Going with the Bible.."

Right. Because talking snakes with legs, people living inside whales, women turning into salt, and "righteous" men offering their daughters to be raped makes MUCH more sense.

Well, our great species once thought leeches cured diseases, and that moles and freckles were signs of copulating with Lucifer, and that the world had four corners and stood on pillars (actually, not many people other than the writers of the Bible believed that last one.)

  • actually, how do you know the thoughts adam and eve had werent sent by the Serpent rather than by words through the ear.. and your mixing up sense wit the Old Testement and the New.. plus, christopher columbus and them thought the earth was flat in the 1500's.. the old testement Was B.C. (before Christ) it states the Circle of the Earth.. look at a picture of the earth from space.. the Four corners thing was soo wrong but the Bible" word of God" knew the future since he CREATED TIME..

  • It was written by God through man just like a Book Report for school was written by you through the Pen.. People dont know much by there own understanding, but the Word of God knows all, thats why living by it is the WAY TO LIVE! not thinking we are Cousins of Apes... Baboons are cousins of Apes ok.. humans.. humans were made in the Image of God who CREATED animals for Man..

  • You really need to work on your grammar, I can hardly tell what you're saying.

I know what "B.C." means, I was once Christian (though it's surprising how many Christians don't know what A.D. means).

Of course Columbus once believed that, everyone believed it because everyone was Brainwashed.

All my examples were from the Old Testament, so no, I'm not "mixing".

And if god knew the future, he did some very stupid things.

  • oh boy.. you have to consentrate on my GRAMMAR because you know im right by the point i make.. thats sad.. your saying that EVERYONE is Brainwashed unless they agree with us being the cousins of monkeys even though that's what you were taught since second grade when you Brain was like a SPONGE.. mhhh.. well.. uh.. i say your brainwashed.. and as for you thinking your Creator did very stupid things, i dont think it really matters what you think about who created you.. you dont know anything..

  • One statement is not "concentrating".

I never said all Christians are brainwashed, nor that people who disbelieve evolution are brainwashed, I said PEOPLE IN THE 1500s were brainwashed, because people who disbelieved the church were killed for heracy, and when people manipulated to think a certain way, that is brainwashing.

To learn about your god's lack of foresight (that means knowing the future), look up "god's checklist".

  • Look Up the word Repentance.. then REPENT! thats what you need..

  • I already have, since the verb "repent" is not an exclusively Christian action.

Now that I've done what you asked, will you return the favor?

  • I am native American Remember me? The soulless heathen ? Don't remember ? well I remember you

    FUCK YOUR GOD

  • You really annunciate your words. You can see your mouth just stretch to make them sound nice. Well, i think it works and i think it's very courteous. :) Great videos as always.

  • Daniel Dennett appears to be the Santa Clause on the claymation series "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer." He's right though...never thought Santa was so cerebral.

  • FUCK religion!

  • have I been blocked?

  • guess not... i can't reply to a comment though.

  • whats this video about? i watched the whole thing and ill i got was something about religion and a guy named randy corpse....

  • You clearly understand nothing about the nature of ethical thinking, and are a standard issue bible twister that wants to hate all the "others". Your message is one of mindless hate.

    Here's a quote for you:

"I know of no society in human history that ever suffered because its people became too desirous of evidence in support of their core beliefs" - Sam Harris.

  • blocked!

    :P

  • Coward. ha ha ha

  • I can play this game all day, dude. It takes you longer to make an account than it takes me to click 'block user'.

In the spirit of encouraging discussion, I make a point not to block people, in general.

I have no qualms about blocking when the person in question has nothing to contribute but hate, however.

  • Yet another reason to vote Republican! Thanks for the info., Ape! By the way, your username fits you to a "t", or is it "tee"? ha ha ha Seriously ugly. Pray for a new face!

  • Go suck a dick, WHORE! lol

  • First of all, tramp, I'm no friend of VFX. I simply pointed out the fact that his intentions were misinterpreted. I reamed fatass NeoPrometheus because he attacked me, idiot. It is my right to defend myself. Second, any twat who has a problem with porn is probably nothing more than a braindead feminazi who is handed all her ideas by N.O.W. and other dumb twat organizations. Third, I've contributed to many conversations w/o insults, but I must admit: insulting idiots like you is fun. Go douche.

  • says the anonymous troll...

  • Christianity has always wanted a theocracy (dictatorship).

  • "It is precisely because we live in a secular nation that we all enjoy the religious freedom we have today" What about the countries where the church plays an integral part of the state and where the head of state is also the head of the national religion - I'm talking about the UK of course. Do we not have religious freedom in the UK? Are not there many more atheists? Are not there many more muslims (proportionally)? Religious constitution, religious freedom, both in the same country.

  • vague - "What about the countries where the church plays an integral part of the state".

Because it is simply a tradition and is not enforced.

  • "Because it is simply a tradition and is not enforced."

But the tradition influences the decision of the policy makers right? So your advocating thats okay as long as the tradition isn't enforced? If so I'd have to agree with you.

  • Bryan - "So your advocating thats okay as long as the tradition isn't enforced?"

I'm certainly not advocating it. I'm stating that this is the situation in England. If you will recall, people fled both Europe and England to settle in the USA in a time when it WAS enforced.

  • "I'm certainly not advocating it. I'm stating that this is the situation in England. "

Yeah, it looks like I interposed in the middle of a conversation I didn't know the entire background of.

LoraSinger (can I call you lora?) are you an atheist, agnostic or soft athest? Cause youre one of the most polite people i've ever talked with on youtube.

  • I'm a deist, Bryan.

  • good point

  • Absolutely......Freedom.....From having people cram the Christain line of shit down my throat....

  • "Absolutely......Freedom.....From having people cram the Christain line of shit down my throat...."

You see this is where people cross the line. You don't have a freedom FROM religion. If I believe in the flying spaghetti monster I can tell you about him until I'm blue in the face and you can't do a damn thing about it.

But honestly, I have a question. Which seems more like "cram"ing an ideal down someones throat. Using lines like "christian line of shit" or a normal conversion conversation?

  • "You don't have a freedom FROM religion. If I believe in the flying spaghetti monster I can tell you about him until I'm blue in the face and you can't do a damn thing about it."

Freedom OF religion also means freedom FROM religion.

You are of course, welcome to TRY to tell me about the FSM - provided you don't inject your faith into public policy or 'force' it onto others.

You have the freedom to knock on my door, and I have the freedom to slam it in your face.

    It's a beautiful thing! :P

  • "You have the freedom to knock on my door, and I have the freedom to slam it in your face."

Thats private property you dumb ass.

Freedom of religion doesn't mean freedom from religion. Thats why the supreme Court has never once said that. No ruling has ever established your claim. You just pull it out of your ass with out an ounce of evidence of your claim.

    It's a beautiful thing! :P

  • "Thats private property you dumb ass."

Exactly. What you do in private is your business. The second your religion leaves your privacy and enters mine, it is interfering with MY 'freedom of religion'.

This really seems like a semantic point to me.

If I defined my 'religion' as something which would be functionally indistinguishable from 'a complete lack of religion', then explain to me the FUNCTIONAL difference between "freedom of" and "freedom from" religion, because I just don't see it.

  • Religion is for crackpots, man; it has no basis besides ancient culture's superstitions and to 'proudly' call your country a whatever faith-based theocracy is a disgrace not a honour.

  • Any christian who wants a human made theocracy hasnt read (or understood) the bible.

  • PeacefulApe -"Any christian who wants a human made theocracy hasnt read (or understood) the bible."

You are exactly right but these Christians are being used by the Dominionists and I don't think many of them realize just how un-Christian the Dominionists are.

  • You might find this quote interesting in the light of what the religious right wants to take us back to - a voice from the past.

    "Slavery and prostitution, persecutions for heresy; the inquisition with its six hundred modes of torture; the destruction of learning; the oppression of science; the systemized betrayal of confiding innocence; the recognized and unrecognized polygamy of man;

  • the denial of woman of a right to herself, her thought, her wages, her children, to a share in the government which rules her, to an equal part in religious institutions-- all these and a myriad more, are parts of what is known as a Christian civilization.

Matilda Joslyn Gage - Woman, Church, and State, published 1893.

  • PLEA TO CHRISTIANS:

    Read this:

    whydoesgodhateamputees[.]com/your-delusion.htm

(copy & paste then remove brackets)

  • pos: re - "read this"

That is an amazingly good article - one of the very best I've read to sum it all up.

The one thing that I have found in these debates is that the christian element that I've encountered don't think twice about lying and twisting history. I've also found them extremlely likely to be verbally abusive. In my mail box is one that simply said, "die" and more and more, I'm finding this typical of the more fervent of believers.

  • Without Christianity your dancingnature would not be your own. The American Constitution would not be possible without the PROTESTANT REFORMATION. The fact of the matter is that there is only one GOD. YAHWEH. The God of the Bible.

  • WHAT MAKES YOU SO SURE YOUR GOD IS MY GOD????? If fundies like you get in control...I'll be VERY FEARFUL of what that entails...ESP since I'm neither a fundie Dominionist and my faith is on your "hitlist for state sanctioned suppression/persecution"...and never mind the fact I'm also considered a "sinner worthy only of DEATH" by the typical Dominionist fundie. NEVER A RETURN TO "The Burning Times" NEVER! FUNDIE..Try it and those of us who oppose you fight to the death to stop you!

  • You are a funny ATHIE!

  • Actually I'm both GaY & Wiccan so I have All the MORE Reason to OPPOSE DOMINIONISM........

  • This Earth is the dominion of the Lord Jesus Christ, evolution is dead and wicca is satanism. Sorry dear, but fortunately you will never have children and pollute their souls. If you do not repent you will burn in hell.

  • @biancademonet

Gay is fine, a Wiccan is just silly and immature , grow up and stop being so stupid.

  • @adlerbr12

I used to have some friends who were gay but they have ALL died in AIDS...every one of them.

  • @thalonen

(in aids) what does that mean you ignoramus, did you mean of aids, ya i guess you did , but your to stupid to spell check, you know lying according to your faith is a sin , so i guess your going to hell you liar .

It's very unlikely that you've ever had a friend let alone a gay friend , get lost jack ass.

  • @adlerbr12 What a childish and ignorant reply. They "were" my friends and now they are dead, because of their lifestyle. They died very young, I think it's very sad that they ALL died of aids.

I'm just a follower of Christ, I have no religion, it is not required. God just want to have a personal relationship with us, instead of ritual.

  • me too an im christain also

  • "Rabidape does make the good point that even religious people should be against this resolution."

oh dont worry we thoughtful christians think this is a bad idea too

  • why apologize, MLK'd agree with you ...remember some fundie xtian churches in the south thought slavery and jim crowism were what bible believing xtians SHOULD believe

  • My representatives already oppose it, i just hope people in Red States get the message

  • This video makes me proud of you.

    *shanhugs*

  • Totally agreed :D

  • What will your redneck husband say about this? Get your act together kid. You are discovered. Christian by day and That's pretty bad. Make up your mind Shan. You don't have to change colors to get validated by people you meet online.

  • I'm sorry? I have no idea who you are, my redneck husband? WHAT? Firstly, I have no husband, secondly, I'm not a Christian by any means.

  • hehehe. You have an insane country.

  • yeah (sigh) we know

  • The constitution could not be possible without the PROTESTANT REFORMATION. Before it the world mentality was "may the strong survive", not all men are created equal. The lemon test contradicts common sense. As for daniel dennett please see his debate with Dinesh D'Souza. Your cherrypicking my friend.

  • the american constitution wouldnt have been possible without the original constitution which the founding fathers actually borrowed from the indians

  • Dancing - "the american constitution wouldnt have been possible without the original constitution which the founding fathers actually borrowed from the indians"

    What constitution was that, dancing?

  • I think my comment has been misunderstood. I simply meant that if we educate the children on why atheism is a legitimate stance, then if they want to reject the religion of their parents, good.

  • Pos777 - atheism and religion are both personal choices and teaching of these should remain at home/outside of the classroom.
