Lataji fulfilled one of her ambition by singing a Malayalam song an awesome composition by Salil chowdhry. Even the pronounciation is not perfect, music gives a wonderful feeling to all
Hi Karthi, Thanks for responding to my comment. The reason behind is, I listened thousands of songs of both of these legends and persoanlly reached this opinion. That may not be your opinion. Still I respect your opinion. For example listen to old malayalam song by Janakiyamma: "Aa Nimishathinete Nirvrithyil njanoravani thennalai mari" Thanks again Karthi.

1 of my all time fav......lata mangeshkar at her best....a melody 'churned' out by salil chaudhury..the accent suits the character........thank u for uploading this song
one of my most favourite songs. Lataji and Salil Choudary involved in one of the sweetest languages in the world - malayalam. brings back all the memories of that period - nostalgic ! I happened to hear this song last month in a live orchestra in a South Indian Association Deepavali festival in Derby, UK (orchestra from Cambridge) and then only enquired the name of the film of this song and then youtubed it - thanks for uploading
@prasadpv12 What superstition? Currently the native folk of Wynad do not have such looks. They have been brutalised after the coming of the Indian independence. Even the lowest government official, the peon and the sweeper, addressed them as Nee, and the words for him and her were avan and aval.
The plight of being kept under the uncultured classes. Even their chieftains and clan leader tumbled under into abominable levels.
@prasadpv12 , sorry to correct you. "Nellu" was Valsala teacher's (P. Valsala) debut novel. You are confusing her with Malayattoor Ramakrishnan who wrote Ponni. Both were based on the lives of the Adivasis in Wayanaad. I am glad to know that you know of both of them - confusion is mistaking one for the other. But, to have to describe Malayattoor as an IAS officer and Jayaram's uncle..... Poyi verukal vaayikku, mone, unakkellam therinjidum
I heard similar sounding language in malanaad , it could be a dialect . I see a konkani, kannada mix? may be it is how Lata adds her touch of tease, to pookara..
WOH! Feeling Proud tat Nightingale has sung even in Malayalam...gr888...the accent s like Hindi...but no probs...Lataji!!!! Any other song in Malayalam?? wt bout NOW singing???
Thank you so much. One of my favourite songs. Do you have Kadhali Kaatino Chudandam? Hope I spelt it right. Its very similar to this and I heard it on audio.

Op deze velden kreeg ik altijd papaver keihard in mijn gezicht gesmeten. Het was een mooie tijd, maar het had dus zeker ook zijn nadelen.
