I don't think anyone in the government wants hyperinflation and policy makers have the ability finely craft monetary policy. you must understand the history of money, the paper has no worth other than the 5 cents it took to make it! The real worth always was the gold and silver, and the paper was just a note you could trade to the bank for gold or silver, but now they passed laws that took our gold and silver away, and made us instead put the value in the paper, which exists in our mind only. Please read the wiki page on the gold standard. There are very good reasons why few if any countries use a gold standard. I don't think anyone in the government wants hyperinflation and policy makers have the ability finely craft monetary policy. Democrats still have a black eye from the Carter Administration so I expect them to be enthusiastic about bringing back Clinton era prosperity.

Stop acting like it was always the federal reserve. Its an oversimplification that does not work. Not to mention the fact that the U.S. was on the Gold Standard until 1972. The credit problem was actually the result of an increase in industrial efficiency, which created a larger desire to distribute goods to maintain the economy. Installment buying and buying stocks on margin inflated the credit market too much, the invisible hand did it. It took FDR regulating markets to bring us out.

Here is why I now like Ron Paul. He is real when he talks he isn't using a corporate slogan such as "Hope and Change" or "Straight Talk Express". However, he tried to warn us and I was one of the tens of millions who thought it was a conspiracy theory and that Obama could fix the situation.
Paul knows that govt can't run the economy, but can guide it by using tariffs, incentives, and allowing the American People to invest. Allowing companies to outsource everything killed our economy.

I personally believe in strong borders even during prosperous times. It is telling a human being "that you can't live or visit here or here" but for the purpose of securing the prosperity for those who are citizens. Ron Paul never supported amnesty or citizenship for illegals, he voted against all of the recent amnesty bills. the only thing he supported was Section 245(I). If you entered the United States unlawfully,or if you entered with permission but did not stay in lawful status, you normally would have to leave the United States in order to apply for an immigrant visa.Special rules under Section 245(i) may allow you to apply to adjust status without leaving the United States. Nothing about citizenship.

Fair Trade is like bartering, you buy X amount from us, and we'll but X amount from you, so that at the end of the year, it's equal and fair, not trade deficits in the trillions, and then central banks get stuck with all these US dollars and bonds n shit.

Schools are run better by the communities they serve. Education is not the duty of the federal government, and it is not in the constitution. Besides their programs and policies have been huge failures. Besides it unconstitutional, under the tenth amendment such a responsibility should be under State law or the people.
