I had a Mantis that laid its cocoon in a fish tank and I had a 10" garter snake also in the tank. Sadly for the snake, the Mantis protecting its cocoon chewed the snakes head off. I couldn't believe it.

FUCK DISCOVERY CHANNEL. everytime they want to see a fuckin deffensless animal get eaten they set it up, do you think you would ever find a preying mantis catch a baby corn snake? no, they went to a pet store bought a corn snake and put it near a preying mantis, just to see it get attacked by a bug. I bet that corn snake died soon after this was filmed, from his injuries

@connjamm i had a mantis.. i caught it in fall and it laid 3 egg sacs.. meanwhile, only one of over 700 hatchlings survived.. mantises arent THAT good at catching their prey

i have a corn snake and a mantis and my corn snake won of choking the prey mantis with its body and choked the mantis so hard the mantises head blew off because the mantis didnt know the corn snake was there
