I rated the players similar to urs sometime back.. S.Hendry has always been my favorite.. but after seeing this guy make those 147's and the quick centuries and the "arrogance", Ronnie is far better than Hendry.. Yeah, to qoute the great Ted Lowe: "Joe Davis would have killed them all at the crucible"- its interesting to speculate on. The tables were (apparantly) harder to play on in Joe's time- ivory balls, crueller pockets and all that. I've seen his vid (1st century on TV). I must admit, he looks more like he knows exactly what he's doing than any player I've ever seen. He does just enough to win the frame and keeps it very simple. I personally think Hendry's sheer level-headedness wud have prevailed.

He isnt a patch on what he was then, in my opinion and apparently Ronnie holds the same opinion, he has lost that little spark that he had in his 1st 5 or 6 years, still unbelievable with the maxes the last few seasons and that semi with Hendry last year at sheff, but I think but for circumstances he could have been even better......wat a gift to the sport that man is.....
