A proper stereo system can provide you with a good sound stage, nice positioning of instruments, a 3D environment which is quite close to the real thing. You can have this at a time and place of your chioce, any type of music or artist. If you hear 2 speakers/2 source, try another setting or check connections. The point is, you are in charge of the situation, this includes how much you spend.
Once you hear some really high end speakers you'll realize one thing... after i heard how B&W Nautilus sound in person i though to myself "omg, it feels like there a piano in front of me", and after a few seconds i realized, YES, it feels like theres a PIANO in front of me. It doesnt sound special. It doesnt do anything to the music, it barely sounds as good as a real piano, yet costs $200k. Most people have problems realizing that REALLY expensive sound equippement is extremely overpriced.
Seriously decreasing returns to scale but who cares, they look awesome and probably sound the same (can't tell with my laptop mono). Do they come with a lifetime guarantee?
I Just Love Kef Reference Speakers, they sound Fantastic : see my Video on Youtube I have the Kef Reference Model 3s in Rosewood powered by 2 Musical Fidelity SUPERCHARGERS with MF pre amp.

Well, the JBL's will go louder anyways. But at the same volume levels, low or high, (up to about 120 decibles) will definatly not be as accurate, go as low in the bass, couple with the room or image as well as these KEF's. But hey, If the JBL's sound better to you, then by all means they should be what you buy.
you can get custom made kef amps.. you have to go through them via the business link.. I think they only do it for huge clubs and stuff only.. I have a club in london..

really ugly. man I am coming from Bauhaus.
That is just wannabe sophisticated and an inconsequent speaker design. An ordinary electrodynamic, diffuse sounding speaker. Sounds quite ordinary.
