  • here they are, telling us to be blind to races. lets take a moment and inspect governmental policies... from Singapore to every part of the world.

  • Kids don't know all the shits in the fucked up adults' world. nice video!

  • the bit that shows they don't understand 'race' is pretty stupid as English is not their first language. I bet they know the concept of race in Chinese or Malay.

  • @espukr Stop being so judgmental and just appreciate the message that is being conveyed.

  • "How do you spell dinosaur?"

    "D-I-N-O-S-O-R-E"

    "Dinosaur-ay?"

"Sore" is pronounced like the "saur" in dinosaur. Bitch. It was a good try.

  • @bradysmj actually, in some countries the "e" at the end of a word is stressed and pronounced as "ay". it wasn't a "good try", it was correct in regards to her dialect and possibly the dialect that was being taught to the students at the school in the video. I hope you learned something new now, and don't worry, it was a good try.

  • @bradysmj It is correct to our way of pronunciation. The ignorant one is you.

  • WOW WOW WOW PERFECT !!!

YASMIN AHMAD IS VERY VERY SMART AND ARTISTIC !!!

  • its cool...in malaysia, regardless of what race you are, when theres celebration for any festival, all these racism will not be there and everyone will celebrate together...that is 1 major reason im still staying in malaysia although i heard soo many bad comments

  • the racist company comes out such a best anti racist film...i will not say thank you to the company....but, thank you very much to the late, respected, best and perfect director as well as the real malaysian, Yasmin Ahmad, may rest in peace..

  • EPIC fail ad...Teacher din't teach well....

  • What is UMNO?

  • That sounded very racist to me. Well, the PM can suck racist dick for all i care.

  • race car? HAHHAHA SO CUTEEEEEEE

  • "race that means race car?" nawwww

  • nice message. but how many percent of petronas employees are made up of what races? is that accidental? pls don't get me wrong (if that is possible), because i'm not against affirmative action. i'm not even against petronas being an implementer of affirmative action. however, for petronas to preach about colour blindness is rather hypocritical . no?

  • Keep them that way/\.

  • "race car?" ahah nice commercials

  • my dream is one day, all malaysians will be color blind...malaysia is a beautiful country....lets not be divided by color....let us stand united and one....

  • @msKuchifai yeah i second that! i believe color should be one's distinctive culture but not segregation among us, imagine a world without variety.

  • That's really cool.

  • race car hahahahhaha comel

  • i remember having many cool malay friends in school... we smoked together in the toilets, skip school and went swimming at the quarry naked, we'd even eat together during recess, and tease about each others foreskins *gross...

dunno why, but along the way, society started telling us about "race"....

but i sincerely hope for these 2 young dudes.. their friendship last eternally too. :)

  • @davyoa i'm malay & yes..people keep telling me about racial hatred and all that shit & i belive it should stop..a better malaysia is coming...

  • i wanna cry..

  • And the whites and the blacks in this country are still fighting about this shit. So retarded........

  • @samp987 browns too bro.. hikz~~

  • naww thats beautiful racism aint fair

  • so sad, yasmin ahmad already die...hard to watch pure movie like her movie anymore...she always wan bring humanities inside the movie...sad..

  • i am moved by how yasmin ahmad destroy the walls between races.

but the company that asked yasmin ahmad to make this video still asked 'Race' on its application form..

    wonder why....

  • race? race is race car la. hahaha

  • this is beautiful!

  • I knew the diffrence between race since i could understand the diffrence between red and blue (about 3) but thats becouse my mom is white and my dad is black... And there where lots of racey jokes where i grew up

  • they are soooo cute! you should not change anything about them. God made them that way! :-)

  • Yep, when I was small I did not understand the concept of race or ethnicity. I saw everyone one of the people around me as unique in their own individuality. That was until I reached 18 (now) that I realized my skin colour affects my path of education and my future career.

  • Sure its a beautifully shot commercial and I would be even more moved when the company which paid for it drops the 'Bangsa/Race' entry from its application forms.

  • HAHAHA SOOO ADORABLEEEE I wanna squish their cheeks!

  • I am moved by this cf since the first time i saw it on tv. It's very disheartening how we adults can be very ignorant towards each other of different races. Well this cf certainly has answered the call of 1Malaysia campaign way before it was introduced

  • y cant everyone in our country be silly like them , i mean , it will be a great country if we all have fun everytime ~

  • maybe the government should watch all of yasmin ahmad's films against racism. :)

  • ohh...so cute how the boy on the right says "race car"....lol

  • What do the words at the end mean?

    RIP. Yasmin Ahmad

  • crystadette: I entered the text on Google Translation Tools and it's something to the effect that all Malaysians should join and celebrate independence (no matter their race...car :-P )

  • Oooo thanks :D

  • it means happy celebrating the 50th indepence day in malaysia, Its in malay, dis is beautiful. P.S. im a singaporean, malaysia's neighbour

  • Chinese boy: Race? Race that means race car?

Malay boy: Race! I forget what is race leh?

Chinese boy: Race is race car la.

    Malay boy: Race... race car...?

  • "race? that means race car ah?"

    R.I.P Yasmin Ahmad...

  • oh my. I wasn't aware that the creative director behind these commercials is dead. What a loss to the malaysia community and elsewhere worldwide in need of multi-racial support.

    rest in peace Yasmind Ahmad.

  • yeah, she's dead already (sadly). can't remember when but it was prolly last two months ago. it was in the papers =[

  • short but meaningful advert! love it!

  • 'race.. what's race??'

    so cute! xD

  • i <3 Yasmin Ahmad

    shes a great directors

  • racism happens everywhere... i think it's just a matter of to what extent this takes place.

we might not be able to get rid of it completely, but something definitely can be done to reduce wtv form of racism we're facing now. and this video is a great start(:

  • Great video on mutliracialism^^

  • haha this is so cute: "race, that means race car la?"

  • a very nice video.

may i know who is the director?

our world will have peacefulness if everyone " color blind"

  • this ad was directed by late Yasmin Ahmad..she is the one and only multi-award winning film director, writer and scriptwriter from Malaysia. And acclaimed as the Ad Legend of Malaysia..peacefully had passed away on 25th July 2009 in her 50th due to massive bleeding in her brain after suffered from stroke.

  • in normal country all the people have the same race

  • this really meaningful

  • The school canteen looks like Lick Hung...

  • really a nice video..

yasmin ahmad really a great director..

if all malaysian can be like these two kids, then it will be wonderful..

    NO RACIST...

  • @lee5685 impossible... the govt's direction is towards racism...

  • @lee5685

then the whole malaysia will be full of race cars, haha ~

  • such surprisingly unexpected. Michael Jackson passed away not long before Yasmin and both died around the same age. remember Anita Mui, Leslie Cheung and Teresa Teng? This is a great lost to the industry.

  • hey, this is my ex- primary skul...

    LICK HUNG ROX...

  • this is beautiful...::sheds tear::

  • tis video r really meaningful...thks~

  • race... what is race? race car... lol

  • very meaningful....love t...yasmin ahmad may u rip..

  • Cntnue..

    Says the Holy Quran:

"O MANKINDI WE CREATED YOU FROM A SINGLE (PAIR) OF A MALE AND A FEMALE, AND MADE YOU INTO NATIONS AND TRIBES, THAT YE MAY KNOW EACH OTHER NOT THAT YE MAY DESPISE EACH OTHER. VERILY THE MOST HONOURED OF YOU IN THE SIGHT OF GOD IS (HE WHO IS) THE MOST RIGHTEOUS OF YOU. AND GOD HAS FULL KNOWLEDGE AND IS WELL ACQUAINTED (WITH ALL THINGS)."

    Holy Quran 49:13

    >That is what God says in the Quran and this is what Yasmin Ahmad believe and fight for.. SAY NO TO RACISM!!:)

  • that's true. let's hope that her good aim will be rewarded and may her rip.

besides, the prophet also has said anyone who fight for the race of his own is belongs to As Sabiyyah. UMNO should take note of that!

  • Yeah thats right.. I respect all good and not racist Malay, Chinese , Indian and all other good people.. To those racist go to hell. For me, UMNO is responsible for hijacking the term "MALAY" and "ISLAM" for their own good. Make race and religion look bad. Stop racism! Chinese, Malay, Indian and all must realize this..

  • you definitely strike me as a smart person. i respect your point of view and what you have in mind is totally the same with me. i mean, UMNO is the reason why so many people vent their anger against Islam and promote Muslim stereotyping. this will indirectly prevent the non-believers from knowing more about the religion. it is surely a great lost! Special Rights is a big lie and i don't think it will fully benefit the nation as Malays from the opposition are brutally repressed the way i see it.

  • Comment removed

  • i sincerely believe that the idea of 1Malaysia will not be realized as long as our education system is divided along the ethnic lines. children should be united under one schooling system, not segregated. if we have only one type of national school (Sek. Keb.) perhaps the compulsory study of Mandarin and Tamil language can be introduced to non-Malay students. at least assimilation could be achieved easily without neglecting their own mother culture. i think this is the best way towards unity.

  • I agree.

  • haishh RIP....

  • i love Petronas adds...

they are always sooo creative and heart felt ^^

  • love this ad..

  • Aww..this vid reminds me of myself, and I'm sure, many others as well. Back in those young primary school days when our parents or teachers will do all the forms-filling for us and we had no idea about that damn 'bangsa' column.

  • pure intelligence. period.

  • RIP Yasmin

  • Kids do not know what race is. It is the adults that taught them what is race. And therefore the problem starts. Agree? when we grow up we carry the race history with us. So which generation would you want to be next if it has been this way all the while around the world? You should ask this question because the director knows.

  • haha this is hilarious! one of my favorite

  • Rest in Peace Yasmin Ahmad....

  • LOL i love how the kid laughs!

  • This is just BRILLIANT! Learn alot from these 2 pure minds. Dinosore and Dinosaru race cars forever!!!!

  • "race is race car la"! ahaha

    very cute!

  • lol, that's cool

  • this is fantastic.

  • in fact a sincere government should help every citizen (who in need) regardless of race and status.

  • the message of this ad is very good but the government should extinct the concept of Malay Special Rights or Malay Supremacy because this is the main cause of racial tension happened in Malaysia. Furthermore, the idea of Malay Special Rights is illegal in Islam because it is oppressive and racist.

  • I agree with you. I'm a Malay but I think our government is being very unjust with the Malay Supremacy things. Stop racism!!!

  • you have a logical and well balanced thought. my Malay best friend also thinks the same like you. actually we have no problem with the policy on the basis of helping the under-privileged and Bumi, but it seems that this government has gone way too far. the Special Rights has been misused and became a propaganda to favor cronyism. now regardless of your ethnicity as long as you defy the government you will be doomed. just look at how BN has done to all the oppositions.

  • @presa1200 dont think so. the issue became the main cause of racial tension because it had been manipulated and abuse by some people intentionally. plus, there's no oppressive and racial benificial in the MSR because it only contains rights of land reservation, religion base understanding and historical values. didnt you know? malay does everything the same way as yours, by hook or by crook.

  • @mackury2002 the reservation & umno exploitation of power are only part of it but our current constitution is the root of all problems. 10 years b4 independence, there was already a left-wing coalition (PUTERA-AMCJA) that claimed independence from the British and proposed its own constitution aka "The People's Constitution". their version granted equal rights and freedom of speech for all races as opposed to our current constitution. too bad their efforts had been in vain after denied by govt.

  • @mackury2002 it's not all about Hak Istimewa bro, even there's no such rights ever existed in Malaysia but so long as racial segregation continues it won't bring us anywhere. in fact, racial incitement and hatred had been there long before our independence. UMNO newspapers were often provoked racial hatred as to prevent the people from united to protest the govt because they also aware that the constitution of a truly independent country was determined by the people, not the colonial.

  • @presa1200 im malay and trust me i feel for the non-malays. but i am hopeful and believe it will be dismantled, hopefully in the near future. but as a malay I cannot deny the fact that without the special rights, my parents and many malays who worked hard but didnt have the opportunities, at least had a chance to come up in life. soon i hope all malaysians will get the equal chance to advance because its true lah, i didnt look at race growing up too.only now, but i try to keep myself color blind

  • @himynameisduh actually this so-called Malay special rights is nothing more than cronyism/favoritism for umno supporters, if not then why are Malays from the PR being mistreated? despite after 53 years of ruling umno still being incompetent to improve the welfare of the Malays, clearly there is something wrong with their leadership. frankly speaking we don't mind about the special rights, we only hope the govt won't run into problems creating ethnic conflicts inside our very own country.

  • @himynameisduh i take it you're on the PR's side, let's hope all the best for them and our future.

  • yeah we should kp it that way... COLOUR BLIND...

  • baik la! very sweet man.

  • Cute concept but some kids in the US know the difference between races in preschool. At least, that was my own experience...

  • i cried...why are we fighting for?why can't we cherish to the most valuable we are having now...

  • I love how they asked simultaneously 'what's race??'....I hope their friendship lasts eternally...

  • I gotta say..Petronas is always different..

hope i got a job there lol

good work, keep it up petronas
