@CheviCamaroSS The end was sung by James Morrison that had nothing to do with a movie. He is singing his life. Fuck the Rolling Stones and their sympathy. They better save it for themselves. The supernal Father shall soon descend and the mountains will melt in his presence.
@Abbie102349 What I exactly would have to say is "I can't separate from my mind this song with this movie, even if yes the topic isn't the Vietnam War. But Apocalypse Now isn't a film about this conflict neither, but about the dehumanization and savagery of human mind when it recovered his primal instincts. So, when you listen to The End, you can heard some lyrics take this way of meaning." Aren't you agreed on ?
@CheviCamaroSS I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE...look for the gulf of ton kin not sure of spelling.....it was the go forward to kill.....at first search and desrtoy but later sweep and claen.......sounds alot like kinatic action or to we who know WAR.

@scottmanduzy the song also has some coded lyrics which are related to the ancient Greek cult of Dionisios.............I read the Jim believed that he was actually the Greek God Dionisios reincarnated. "The snake", "the ancient lake".................from the cult.

Just viewed Apocalypse for the umpteenth time. The END seems almost to have been written for it or vice versa. The Vietnam Vets have been on my mind lately. Many are well into their sixties now. The "End" looms for many. Many didnt re integrate in The World. In San Francisco more than 2,000 were living on the streets as recently as 2007. Strength to The Vets
Actually my whole life has been full of many happenings that were important.
If you believe in repentance, then now is the time to do it. We are talking about 16 days from today and 16 days to repent is better than being caught without making things right.
I finally had the vision about December 21, 2011. It is what we Hebrew call Judgment Day. I think it is a sort of resurrection also. I am High Priest Melchisedek Order, and I came forth on March 16, 1995, and I had two other great days on November 10 and 11 of 1996.
@Abbie102349 I had a vision also. In it I saw stupid people being led like sheep by someone that had predicted the end of the world and you know what it has not happened so far. It won't happen on Dec. 21 either. My vision confirms that....

I doubt anyone who has watched this or a similar video had anything to do with Vietnam, I mean why would someone involved wish to relive the memories of what was such an awful war. Please stop ruining what is an awesome piece of music with your stupid and petty comments that display your selfish and meaningless desire to associate yourself with something historically significant just to increase your own feeling of self importance and attempt to gain some kind of internet recognition from peers.
Vietnam was an unnecesary war, maybe even more unnecesary then any other. R.I.P. those who died there for someone's idiotic idea, and i feel sorry for those who came home diferent then they have gonne there. America probably had some stacks of weapons after ww2, and during cold war they needed to get rid off so they thought the best way was to invade some small country.
Many of your parents friends cursed and reviled Vietnam Vets, spitting on them and throwing dog-shit on them as they walked wounded off the plane home.
So, fuck off.
I don't want or need your empathy.
You only care because of "cool music" and a "cool movie".
You have NEVER studied history so you have no idea why we were there.
@300minus sorry, do you know me ? Two of my uncles were there mate. If you were to say to them that they were in nam just for training I think they might just have something to say.
@300minus....Your accusations were all hype back in the 1970's and still are. Those events never happened. Nobody spit on anybody or threw crap on them...Please study "real" history.....And yes, I lived through that period and still remember what really went down during the 60's, including all the friends I lost in a rich man's war for profits.
@300minus I know why you were there, to stop the so called 'commies' for fear of the domino theory, although the sad fact was many of the soldiers did not know why they were there, what they were fighting for, and if they had known, they wouldn't of wanted to die for it. I hold great respect for the young men who were sent to the war because the pissheaded government were paranoid about communism and I think it was horrific the way the soldiers were treated when they returned from the war.
@300minus Oh and did I mention im only 16, not all young people think war is cool and awesome, it is horrible but most people don't understand. Im not saying i do because i have never fought a war, but i can understand how terrible it must of been, not to a full extent, but atleast a bit...
@300minus Says the 31 year old who was born in 1980 cause he was there and his anger is geniune. Oh wait the Vietnam war ended in 1975. I hate kids even the 31 year old one's.
@300minus The U.S soldiers were there to secure the money in the pockets of government officials. The government sent 50,000 U.S troops to their death just for money. Not many people know the truth about why and how the war actually happened. It all sums up to greed, same as many other similar conflicts. Still today most of the veterans don't even know the truth because they were never told.Communism and Democracy had nothing to do with the Vietnamese Civil war. It was just painted that way.
@TheSovietSamurai yes sir u are correct! because we all know the vast resources of vietnam with their oil fields and steel mills for the taking also we mine their crystal mountain to power our cell phones and instead of kobe beef we eat their saigon dog
@walmartian The French colonies sent money and resources to the U.S government in return for Post-War aid. If the Vietnamese won their freedom the colonies would be kicked out and that meant no more money for the corrupt official.
@TheSovietSamurai let me ask you this,,,,how is it that you know all the answers of why we were there better than us vets who were actually there? and for the record,,,ego and greed has been part of the root to every war that was ever fought in history. so wheres the news in that?
@vidPRODUCER1 I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I have great respect for any and all veterans of the war. I have gathered much information from documentaries and articles written by Veterans themselves. Including an article from Jeff Drake who spent two back to back tours in Vietnam. He went through the records and gathered as much information as he could, he uncovered the truth that many people don't want to believ. His purpose was to try and explain to the veterans what was really going on.
@300minus pretty sure they where there because the usa was terrified of communism. you really think a nation would declare war (or 'police action' as they called it) simply to get training? they train for war. they do not fight wars to train.
Most epic song every, i mean ever, like sooooo epic, this song is my favorite song of alll time, and it really set the feeling in the begining of apocalypse now, if you havent seen apocalypse now, see it.
I'm here a week now... waiting for a mission... getting softer. Every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around the walls moved in a little tighter.
@LyssaMarieexO Don't think that wasn't intentional lol. I saw Apocalypse now for the first time today, and I was put on edge by the entire soundtrack. It really did a good job setting the mood to be a descent into darkness in hope of light at the end of the journey. The psychadelic tones throughout set the events that happened on the boat and the river as surreal and detached from a rational world. Great stuff.
A bit dated now and out of print; however, if you can get your hands on a book called "Nam," buy it. It's a collection of individual stories about experiences in Nam. I read it a round 1982 for the first time. Some parts of it were so funny the back of my head was sore from laughing so hard. Other parts were so disturbing all I wanted to do was curl up and cry. Excellent book...Have read it several times since. Viet Nam...For many, it was, and still is, their own personal apocolypse.
never share or redistribute the wealth . but always thin out the population....GOD FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO'

Why were we there?
For TRAINING you dumb fuck.
Same reason we engage in any war.
And the government left us high and dry.
Same today.

I feel your pain. It never goes away. Push it aside and go forward or it will kill you.
bobsofaly 8 months ago
@300minus I know why you were there, to stop the so called 'commies' for fear of the domino theory, although the sad fact was many of the soldiers did not know why they were there, what they were fighting for, and if they had known, they wouldn't of wanted to die for it. I hold great respect for the young men who were sent to the war because the pissheaded government were paranoid about communism and I think it was horrific the way the soldiers were treated when they returned from the war.
xXGears2FTWXx 7 months ago
@300minus Oh and did I mention im only 16, not all young people think war is cool and awesome, it is horrible but most people don't understand. Im not saying i do because i have never fought a war, but i can understand how terrible it must of been, not to a full extent, but atleast a bit...
xXGears2FTWXx 7 months ago

@TheSovietSamurai yes sir u are correct! because we all know the vast resources of vietnam with their oil fields and steel mills for the taking also we mine their crystal mountain to power our cell phones and instead of kobe beef we eat their saigon dog
walmartian 5 months ago
@walmartian The French colonies sent money and resources to the U.S government in return for Post-War aid. If the Vietnamese won their freedom the colonies would be kicked out and that meant no more money for the corrupt official.
TheSovietSamurai 5 months ago
@TheSovietSamurai let me ask you this,,,,how is it that you know all the answers of why we were there better than us vets who were actually there? and for the record,,,ego and greed has been part of the root to every war that was ever fought in history. so wheres the news in that?
vidPRODUCER1 4 months ago
@vidPRODUCER1 I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I have great respect for any and all veterans of the war. I have gathered much information from documentaries and articles written by Veterans themselves. Including an article from Jeff Drake who spent two back to back tours in Vietnam. He went through the records and gathered as much information as he could, he uncovered the truth that many people don't want to believ. His purpose was to try and explain to the veterans what was really going on.

@300minus pretty sure they where there because the usa was terrified of communism. you really think a nation would declare war (or 'police action' as they called it) simply to get training? they train for war. they do not fight wars to train.
filchett 5 months ago
@300minus If all of your wars are fought for training, then what are you training for?
