the laser doesnt make anything glow, the laser creates heat which shows up on this glow in the dark surface. blue ray lasers can burn threw things and shouldn't be pointed at people

Heat? Which shows up on the surface? Nope. This laser glows up objects just the same as a black light does. A black light is about 370nm. A Blu-ray laser is about 405nm. Close enough to the UV of black light that it has the same affects on objects.
