  • nice

  • I have the jet-recorded of all both albums 'originals' :)

  • no dislikes, yep life is good.

  • oh yea fuck i forgot about the inverted cross its great that ozzy is not really like that

  • i like this song cause it is satanic=black and white magic while dopers think it is about getting high Black and white is read

  • I wish I still had my vinyl and tapes.

  • thanks for posting this tune

  • For such a small guy Randy had a fucking HUGE sound R.I.P dude \m/ x

  • @MrAdammassacre of course he was playing on jacksons

  • The original is way better!

  • GOD DAMN...THAT'S GOOD SHIT!!! Another reason to keep those old VINYL albums. When are we ever gonna hear bands play like this again????

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy could please upload this in 720p HD?

  • There is no doubt in my mind that Bob Daisley was the world class musician that turned Randy Rhoads from an incredibly extraordinarily average guitar player into what is known of him today. Just listening to the Randy Rhoads on the Quiet Riot album released one year before The Blizzard of Oz is certainly evidence to that fact

  • Nice!! I remember 2002 buying every last copy of the original diary and blizzard albums i had the misfortune of accidentally purchasing the remstered blizzard album for the bonus track:( Sharon & Ozz said a while back they were putting 30th anniversary editions out with the original bass and drums included "it should be out around Thanksgiving" Here we are after xmas still waiting lol.......I even contacted Bob Daisley and he said he has no clue when they will be out

  • The "Ohhh nooo" part is the stoned out Ozzy and it comes across as clear crystal to those who've ever been in that Ohhh nooo stage. It's like "Ohhh No, I'm flying TOO high and AGAIN!!"

  • This was a damn huge hit! It's probably one of the most catchiest tunes in rock n' roll. This song allowed me to recieve the message that Randy was sending me, and that message said "Pick up a guitar a play play play!". Have been playing since I heard this song! R.I.P Randy!

  • @buzzsaw177 Well, how is it going? Post of video of your playing - I'd like to see. I only have the one crappy webcam that died but it was fun! RR inspired so many of us! He proved the point of some natural talent versus the rest of us that just practice. (I don't think that's really true, but hard not to believe it.)

  • @DickLodge68 I'm doing pretty good......... for the short time I've been playing. I wish I had a cam, but I don't.... That's why I only have music vids with pics only. :(

  • @buzzsaw177 Well, it's really great to have fun with it. And that's the important part. I'm certainly not a great player - otherwise, you'd probably have heard of me. But I never have a guitar too far from sight. Practice as much as you can...never try to impress anyone other than yourself....and have fun playing.

  • these lyrics are fucking amazing

  • @anthonydom1 That's Bob Daisley for ya.

  • I have the Original LP I bought new in 1980. It's in great shape. I plan on copying the songs to my collection soon. I listened to 3 other versions before this and knew something was up with those others right away.

  • @marcomariaz26 Would you be nice enough to perhaps... *cough*e*m*a*i*l*cough* me them?

  • @LesPaulPlayer15 Randy Rhoads got the credit

  • Never knew this, re: different versions.

Just checked my CD...and it's the '95 version...maybe that's why I always thought it sounded like my early 80s cassette version - only clearer and with TONS more dynamic range.

Good info - thanks for the dump!

  • ozzy FTW

  • it's the way-back machine and we're smoking marijuana in big brother's piece of shit vw bug in mommy;s garage talkin 'bout what other drugs ozzy was on. join us, won't u?

  • randy rhoads enough said

  • i had a idea for a animation about a guy on drugs that broke through a office window and thinking he was flying through the sky and in space and into a black hole with psychedelic shit in it and this song playing while hes flying and in the end hes on the ground dying and a message pops out saying dont do drugs

if anyone talented on animations and shit can do this thank you very much

  • @pyroman645 I'm talented with animation, but unfortunately I do drugs, I advocate choice, and your idea sounds like what someone who's never done drugs imagines drugs to be like.

  • I'm so happy to finally find the original version. I knew they'd been rerecorded but I hadn't found the original versions

  • Ozzy is a living legend.

  • The fact that Randy can start out the song like he did with those crushing guitar effects, is simply awesome. This is such a cool song, love it!

  • @Boski391 Funnier still, it wasn't so much effect as it was simply layering his tracks.

  • One of my favourite songs from Mr. Rhoads!

    May he R.I.P.

  • Sadly, I have the remastered versions of all three albums, but i wasn't really around at the time of their release to get the original. The original sounds so much better. You should post Bark at The Moon on here too. I really want to hear that in it's originality.

  • @WheelChairBndit

I would if I had the original Bark At The Moon....I REALLY wanna hear that in its originality!

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy i think i have it ill post it

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy I have the original pre-release EP of Bark at the Moon, with One up the B Side and Slow Down. I also have the original Ozzy Live EP and the So Tired EP. All on vinyl and have not been played in decades. I don't even have a turntable to play them with anymore! Yargh!

  • Comment removed

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy Ebay gohastings it's $4.56 plus $2.98 shipping.

  • @WheelChairBndit Ozzy officially announced that this November around Thanksgiving they are re-releasing Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman with only the original parts. Also, a concert DVD will be included that features full length songs from two different shows taped by people who were working for Ozzy. The footage is going to be in high quality. It's going to be released as a box set. So there you go

  • @vaibanez17 Where did you hear this? Has there been anymore news about this? I would LOOOOOVE some footage of Randy that doesn't suck lol...

  • @WheelChairBndit are you talkin about the first cd version that was released in 1990? cause i actually have that one.

  • @HBK1337 yeah the CD. I got Blizzard of Ozz on cassette :) and got the original drum and bass versions of both albums since then on my ipod, but still not Bark at The Moon. i haven't tried to get that yet. eventually though

  • @WheelChairBndit yeah, i got the first bark at the moon too. i remember my grandma got it for my birthday and at first i was like, meh, just because i thought the cover of the new one looked cooler and it had bonus songs. but then i realized how lucky i was when i discovered they fucked with jake's solos on the new one.

  • @WheelChairBndit Try going on Amazon dude. They might have the original versions used. That's how I got the original copy of Megadeth's first album.

  • @1983Valhalla I rely more on ebay than amazon just because theres alot of people that have a really good music collection that they want to sell, or whatever. I've gotten records for $3 a piece, 3 for $3. It all depends on when you look.

  • This is how this should be heard. Just listen how much better the bass and drum

playing is on this REAL original version. Fans should all get together in protest

of them (Sharon and Ozzy) for taking this original version and butchering it on later releases. That's a musical crime of the highest order.

  • I still don't get the re-doing of the bass and drums on the bad versions (not this one obviously), I can't believe how childishly bad the other versions are. I swear that's the worst musical crime I have ever heard.

  • Fan of bob daisley's work? then check out my page

  • I could listen to the begining of that solo all fucken day...

  • In 1980, you had to have this album..Period!

And then the concert..What a blast!!

  • i used to get so fucked up listening to this songits embarissing waking up finding out you pissed your fucking pants you where so gone

  • True the remasters sound better but I prefer the originals myself. Just depends on your preference. Steer clear of the 2002 remasters though. For sure, you can totally tell the difference between the two. I think it was the song little dolls from diary I could totally tell just by listening to the beginning drum part. It sounded awful.

  • The original preremaster versions on jet records or in bark @ the moons case CBS assoiciated records also have the original mixes. They can be recognized cause they have the compact disc logo on the lower right or lefthand cover. These, in my opinion are the definitive versions. The originals, not remastered or remixed.

  • for blizzard the artwork isnt always shruken, my kinda douche 2002 version isnt, but it does have you lookn at me

  • Everytime I hear this, I just marvel at Randy's playing. I remember hearing this

when I was a kid and 27 years later I just stare at the speakers in awe. The melody of that solo and the crunch of his rhythm. Nobody comes close.

  • nice upload, got bought a couple of the re-issues by well meaning relatives......my god they were seriously butchered and ruined.

  • ozzy is awesome as a singer, but as a musician he sucks. being a musician and being a singer are 2 very different things.

look at him now, firing Zakk coz he feels his stuff is starting to sound like BLS, well mofo seeing as zakk has prob been writing your shit for the past 20 yrs that might be a good thing.

all his music AND lyrics have been written by his "hired hands" who barely ever get recognition from the general public.

  • Zakk only has been with Ozzy since about 1988, 20 years ago was when Ozzy was with the Great Randy Rhoads

  • umm 20 yrs ago it was 1989......... did you flunk remedial math?

  • So i made a mistake, it was late at night, Not like i really think 12 at night listening to Ozzy, i'm still stuck in 2000 where the world was better and retards like you didn't have to correct people just to be an asshole, seriously So i made on mistake you gotta be an ass and put did you flunk remedial math, like anyone thinks at 12 in the middle of the night listening to Ozzy. So answer me why I make ONE mistake you have to be a total ass?

  • I'm out of the Country at the moment on vaction. and I don't mind being corrected but being an ass about it was what made me mad, you didn't have to put did you flunk remedial math all you had to do is put i believe you got your years mixed up and i would have corrected the comment, And i think you need to get your info straight, If you would have known i was out of the country then you wouldn't have made an ass out of yourself more, So next time just correct and not make an ass out of yourself.

  • You are missing the point, I said i don't mind being corrected but you don't have to be an ass about it, All you had to do is say I believe you got your years mixed up and I would have said Thank You for correcting me but You put Did You Flunk Remedial Math being an asshole an trying to be tough cause if we were talking in Real life and I said that mistake in years you would probably have said I'm sorry but I think you got your years messed up and I would have had said Thank you

  • You only just proved my point

  • Haha, you two are funny people to watch fight over YouTube.

  • Dude, Xter i accidently hit spam and thumbs down because i was laughing so hard if you can ignore those ;D i dont know how to undo them

  • Any serious musician knows Ozzy didn't write these songs LOL. The guy can barely sing let alone write songs. Yes we all love him still, but cmon Ozzy come clean and give Daisley, Kerslake their due. We all know Sharon rules the Osbourne clan with an iron fist, she is the reason Im sure the "truth" won't be told.

  • FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG

  • Bob and Lee did the right thing by sueing Ozzy. The 2002 re-issues SUCK COCK!!! Get the 1995 re-issues.

  • kerslake and daisley sued oz, succsessfully ,because both albums were recorded at the same time, but neither kerslske or daisley got writting credit

  • no they got writing credit, but not credit that they were playing (on Diary of A Madman) and they still don't have playing credit. But it is them! Blizzard they have credit for writing and playing originally, but now both albums have been fucked over so bad its not even funny

  • who got the playing credit?

  • Lee and Bob played on Diary Of a Madman, but Tommy Alridge (drums) and Rudy Sarzo (bass) got all the playing credit.

  • kk man i bought these original albums after i heard about this man thanx...rebought them by the way

  • @LesPaulplayer15 thx for the post bro

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy Now they have :)

  • @mollster12345 They were not recorded at the same time.

  • @mollster12345 That is not true. Their was a short tour between the recording of Blizzard and Diary. Lee and Bob did get songwriting credits on Diary. I have my original vinyl right here. They didn't get performance credits on Diary though.

  • SWEET SONG
