i saw this movie when i was 12 back in 93 on TBS that november with Robot Carnival, i became hooked into anime thanks to these two and seen some anime in the 80's like Voltron, Warriors of the Wind, Unico 1 & 2, Jack and the Beanstalk etc.

We had luck that lot of movies where translated and dubbed to our local language (basque) in that period xD, and lot of them which were not suitable for children (like gremlins) were sent to schools. We saw Gremlins 1 at school in fact, when I was 7 xD

I remember watching this for the first time when I was a jr. in high school. I always passed it by while thumbing through the anime isle at Hollywood video. So, picked it up out of curiosity and watched it. loved it ever since then. :3 vampire hunter D is by far one of the best and beautifully done anime made.

I saw this movie back in 93 on TBS when i was 12 with Robot Carnival, Heavy Metal, American Pop and Rock and Rule, they rocked my world and loved them. I even rented My Neighbor Totoro and Project A-Ko that year and realized what anime was even when i watched Sailor Moon (I had the hots for those sexy scouts) and Dragonball Z on TV as well. Doris gave me a boner even in the uncut version i watched the next year.

An amazing piece of an amazing soundtrack to an amazing film. If you ask me, the VHD series is the best vampire-related series of all time. This first film, and the novel it's based on, can truly be called timeless.
